Which Operating System you prefer and why? Yo own an iPhone or an Android device? :D
In my case: Android Nexus 4 because quality-price was good two years ago ;) As well I like to develop on it but I have an Apple computer, too.
What about you?

Android hands down. The biggest thing for me is that iOS has one big button but nothing else. I don't understand how users can be happy by always reverting back to the homepage instead of a 'right click' type option. Android just provides more versatility in what you can do which is what I'm looking for.
I own and Android, the onnly reason people want iPhone is because its an Iphone
Android, it is much easier to handle make changes to set up email. When I have to set up email and programs on IOS i always find my self saying why the hell is there no option button then i have to go to the home screen and scroll till i find the settings app.
By far Android:
iOS is a SW-dictatorship. I need the approval of Apple to be able to run a program on iOS.
Keep in mind I said that long before Apple banned Bitcoin related apps! I know they allowed those apps again, but why should a iOS user be thankful for having the right again for something he should never have lost in the first place?? Why use a system, where this could happen with any program any day?
Don't tell me that it is for security/good reasons. Every dictator say that. Google can also ban SW from the Play-store if it is malware. BUT Android has a manual switch, so I can choose to install ANY program that is not on the Play-Store, and pull the switch again so that by default only Play-Store apps are allowed.
Also don't tell me that it's just software. Software is a very increasing part of our lives, and will even be a much bigger part in the future. So leaving an operating system will be like leaving a country.... not easy...and most people won't bother, thus making the dictator powerful.
Why o why do people in the 21th century that have the basic understandings of technology choose the dictator, and by choosing it growing it? People with basic knowledge in technology should warn others in what world they live in.
Android all the way of course. IOS robs you in and makes you play by its own rules..

Yes, but with Android you can just came back to 'Home' touching one button too. So owning an iPhone for some people is just because it's an iPhone as @noobdan said :)

Right, the basics of what an Android let's you do is the max of what an iPhone let's you do

What? Huh? Manual download any software, then a switch?
I haven't had an iPhone in about 5 years, but please expand on what you mean.
Hold on to your Android its great but IOS is very crafty they make you pay for almost everything.

But you can't compare some of the products or services that Android or iOS offer with the other one, you know?
