Tokens and leaderboards

Create a multi-step "hard game" that might take even a year to figure out. Have a leaderboard page that to start has basically nothing, but as soon as the first token is found by the first person (which is the reward for solving the first clue) you get a token and a time-stamped "You were first".

This immediately goes up on the games leaderboard page, which now shows the token that is being searched for, which addresses got it in which order and let people claim their addresses.

Token 1 is clue #2, the name is a hint of how it can be used and the solution the the clue is sending the token to the correct address, which then sends back token #1 and also token #2

As before, token #2 is now listed on the leaderboard

Token #2 is clue #3, the name is a hint of how it can be used and the solution to the clue is sending the token to the correct address, it could also be sending both token 1 AND 2, which then returns 1, 2 and 3 if you sent it to the correct address.

Token 3 added to the leaderboard, repeat until conclusion.

What kind of game should we make? We'll pick the game designer(s) based on suggestions made publicly here.

@crimsonroze This reminds me of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cicada_3301

    Yes, it's a token-ized version of that.

If you've read the book Ready Player One you'll recognize this is their contest, except we openly call them tokens instead of keys in this abstract description.

I like this idea a lot @adam. Could be a way of taking the blockchain trivia idea even farther, with a more elaborate narrative around it. Prizes could be hid in various different alt/meta coin addresses and would require you to hop in and out of different chains. Finding the prize could require understanding various aspects of these coins and so could also function as an educational tool. The narrative is key though and requires a lot of work to develop. I wonder if the narrative itself could be decentralized. Just the first idea off the top of my head, there are so many directions this could go in...

P.S. I fell into the Nonchalance game in San Francisco a few years ago and it was amazing.
