  @frogwithcancer I'm not convinced about the 5 forum posts thing. Will it not just contribute to spam posts? Like the idea of LTB copin though.

  I thought about this as well. I was trying to explain the concept of LTBCoin to a friend who's really not familiar with bitcoin even though she knows a little about it. She raised another good point in asking wouldn't this turn the whole thing into a popularity contest? I appreciate Adam's courage on this undertaking, I'm sure its time consuming but its a great experiment. I guess we will just have to wait and see...

  If you're upset about the five post minimum -- it's because you weren't contributing to the community. I haven't been either, although I have been a long time listener/troll. So I'm not upset, because the initial distribution is meant to reward those who HAVE been contributing to the community.

  Guess we all should have done our part much earlier.

  Of course. I was just upset because i got the email that the coins were distributed and when i went to check whether i received them, i found out about the 5 posts thing. I understand that you people are busy and might have forgotten to mention that. Things happen. In the end it doesn't really matter as you are distributing the coins for free. I wish you success with LTB coin. :)

  Spam posts? Like this entire thread, for example? :)

  I get it though, rewarding participation is a noble cause. Any system will be gamed to some degree. It's just important that people gaming the system don't make the entire experience worse for those who are truly interested.

  Does this mean we have to have created 5 posts during each week in order to qualify? Or just have an active account that has 5 posts?

  I imagine 5 per week makes more sense since it involves more activity and it's less incentive to create a ton of random accounts, but if that's the case it would be good for there to be a notification when 5 has been reached just so people don't have to worry about not having kept count.

  This is a limited time thing, we'll be rewarding everyone with cumulatively more than 5 posts, so if you have more than five posts already you're good for all the remaining ones.

  Right now the notification system does not have a way to filter out people who are already qualified, but it would be a good tool to have.
