While some people consider prediction markets to be a useful tool for society, oth...

EB136 - Arthur Breitman: Tezos - A Self-Amending Crypto-Ledger

The Bitcoin Biographies: Rob Mitchell of the Bitcoin Game
November 13th, 2015 by
Cheryl Hulseapple When Rob Mitchell mentioned that he had recorded an introduction about himself for his podcast The Bitcoin Game several times, but he hadn’t yet created one he wanted to use, I jumped at the chance to interview him.
Mitchell started his podcast a little more than a year ago. He has since published 29 biweekly episodes, including memorable ones such as interviews with Johoe, the white hat hacker, Jake Benson of LibraTax — which I remember because I didn’t want to listen, but when I did, it was very helpful — and two of his latest with John Barrett of Bitcoins and Gravy, and writer Brian Cohen. He also created the Bitcoin keychains that appear in images all over the Internet.
I asked him to tell me more about everything he's been doing "in Bitcoinland."

ChangeCup NYC Brings Coffee and Care to Homeless: Interview with dmnyc, Part 1
March 13th, 2015 by
Cheryl Hulseapple After countless people walked over the body of a homeless man on the Upper West Side of New York City before someone called an ambulance, Daniel Modell (dmnyc on the forums) decided he didn’t want to be “the one who walked by.” He wrote on the blog that he created: "If just one person had decided not to walk past this man, and instead, stop to talk to him, ask if he needed some help, just show him that someone cared, he might not have died that day in such a sad way." ...
