    @cryptonaut yeah, your notifications tell you who liked it. I could probably add a simple list of usernames that show up when you hover over the "like" button or something

    Exactly what I was thinking. I can see who liked my posts, but if I'm scrolling through and I see some "likes" on other peoples' posts I get curious to know who is thinking along the same lines. I mean, it's a community here. There are certain shared positions that are emerging. That's the fascinating thing for a social scientist like me.

  • Re: [CLOSED] Auction for 1 Hour of Adam B. Levine's Time

    @rob THIS THREAD IS NOW CLOSED, PLEASE FIND THE NEW AUCTION HERE: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/auction-for-1-hour-of-adam-b-levines-time0

    Though I'm not actually going to lock the thread yet, just in case there are any more questions about this finished auction.

    @william & @shopnhowler
    If either of you don't receive your HOURCONSULT tokens in a timely manner, feel free to ping Adam, as he is the one who sends them.

    It's all good. He's got a busy schedule. I know he's good for it! Viva la LTBc

    It would be nice to know who liked your comments!

  • Re: mintpal?

    Even if LTBc were listed on Mintpal, I don't see the price going up in the medium term, given that there are millions of new coins entering circulation every week. As @adam repeatedly points out, LTBc is a deflationary currency at the beginning. I think it might be 3-4 years before LTBc stabilizes or trends upwards. Getting listed on MintPal will just get people pissed off with LTB because LTBc will trend down after an initial pump or two. That's what I think...

    Of course, as an author, I would hope that the price stays around 100-200 sat. I just don't know if it will. Which raises the next question of incentivizing authorship. If LTBc drops below 100 sat it could be difficult to attract quality content, as authors might find more lucrative compensation elsewhere.

  • Re: LTBcoin stats page

    @bcohen @adam

    "and then podcasts recieve a 4x multiplier on the pageviews since the majority of users consume podcasts without ever visiting its particular content page."

    That's sensible.

    However, Podcasters do receive substantially more POQ than writers though.

    I think (?) its now safe to assume that writers are driving traffic to Podcasts whereas prior to the launch of LTBcoin I assume (?) it used to be primarily the opposite... that Podcasts would drive traffic to the blog...

    just sayin' ;)

    I agree. There is a lot of work that goes into a podcast, but also a lot of work that goes into writing. A good article can take me 12 hours + to write. Add research onto that, and it's not clear why podcasts have a larger share of PoQ...

    @rob

    @william Just to make sure, I send to 18YFt8ek8duhKFGG2x9Tk5fjuVHncMugkR, right? It's bed time where I'm at. I'll pay in the morning.

    Looks right at a glance, though I didn't actually verify every character. Tomorrow is fine, I'm sure. You and @shopnhowler will receive the token HOURCONSULT for @adam's time. And you can schedule the hour with [email protected] when you're ready, or hold the token for another time.

    25k & 22.5k LTBc were the winning bids.

    sent 22,500

  • Re: Questions/Topics for todays session (Andreas/JeffreyTucker/Adam)

    @Andreas, what can you say about the boundary between machine and human interaction in the DAC concept? Just how automated can DACs actually be? Are high levels of automation always desirable?
