Re: Brooklyn Bridge for Sale
@mikerbiker6 So we went from crap to ridiculous... what a shit auction. When will we get some advertisements slots for LTB?
I think that is too harsh a criticism. If you read the auction description and links included, it's a pretty interesting concept. I applaud people for stepping out and trying to find new ways of using tokens, generally, and making the LTBc network, specifically, more vibrant.

Re: Ukranian-Russian conflict
Ukraine is neither my fight nor my government's. You are 10,000 miles away and perfectly capable of handling your own internal affairs.
When my government gets involved in situations like this, it isn't to protect your interests, it's to protect theirs. And, stuff usually ends up blown up and worse locally than it was to begin with.
I'm sure Yanokovych and Putin aren't saints, but this problem wouldn't have likely evolved into the mess it has been had the US not intervened.
Just my opinion.

Re: Sovereign BTC
I like it for the same reason I like LTB when all three original hosts are together and have the opportunity for back and forth. You each have different perspectives and passions and when there is a chance to engage that passion, the content really shines.
I might not agree with the staunchest libertarian (e.g. I think there needs to be regulation to protect the environment because the market does not do it well), I respect impassioned discourse far more than news readers (not that there is much of the latter on this network, though there is a small bit).
In the end, the more diversity in content the bigger the audience and the better the network.

Foreign Translation
Down the road, it would be cool to have a few good translators report on some of the best threads from their respective languages.
There are so many Russian and Indonesian posts, I'm sure there is some good stuff in some of them.

Re: Lovecoin giveaway!!! (ended)
@davidareallen Some things are just creative and illogical.
For every small amount given away I provide more.
No rules.
When I posted that, there wasn't a list. That must have come in later, or my phone was phreaking.

Re: Ukranian-Russian conflict
I live in the USA.
Mainstream media here spouts the Obama administration's line that Putin is the aggressor.
I believe that the US bears responsibility for helping to unseat the democratically elected former President of Ukraine and breaking the promise of the 1980s that NATO would not move closer to Soviet Union/Russia.
Now, the US uses Ukraine to fearmonger and juice and justify the military-industrial complex.
When it gets cold, Ukraine will have no choice but to reconsider key relationship with Russia. No way US can supply fuel. US has no business in Ukraine and Russia has many historical and geopolitical reasons to be involved in Ukraine. Ultimately, Ukraine and Russia will kiss and make up. The sooner Ukraine spurns the US and reaches out to Russia, the better, in my opinion.

Re: AUCTION VENDING MACHINES ARE NOW OPERATIONAL
@mikerbiker6 while auctions are down, there is almost zero use for my ltbcoins, price will be dropping.
Why are auctions down? I was under the impression that there just weren't any at the current time.
@davidareallen I take from your reply that you can't simply list a tangible item, but you have to proxy it through a token. So "winnings" would be the number of tokens won? And "winning token type" would be WILDJO COIN under your example?
Finally, is there a way to set a reserve or minimum bid amount?

Re: Untradable Token?
@wildjo I appreciate these replies. Maybe go a slightly different direction:
Assuming there is no way to keep from trading, is it possible to create an app that would monitor the blockchain and ping me if a particular token was transferred out of a watched address?
Right now, you can implement the IFTTT chain channel to send you a push notification whenever any Bitcoin is sent out of an address of your choosing. However, I suspect this is not quite what you are seeking because it only applies to Bitcoin and not any meta layers like Counterparty.
That's good. Thank you.
If it can be done for Bitcoin, surely that means it is possible to do for tokens built on Bitcoin. And, in the meantime, it gives a way to monitor crudely, since Counterparty requires BTC to be spent when moving user created tokens.
