  • Re: 10k LTBcointest Giveaway! Post your counterwallet address and I'll send you coin!

I just served all the latest requests. Sorry for the delay!

  • Re: The 24-hour auction selling seats on Saturday's hangout for LTBCOINTEST begins now!

The bid/ask charts work and look great, just that they are not showing up for assets. Try looking at XCP/BTC.

I guess we would find some level of consensus within the community and agree on some guidelines, strategy and branding materials to produce. These would be optional in any case and people are free to do what they think best. At the same time, the community polices itself and we all look out for each other and encourage everyone to pull in the same direction.

That's not a bit. It's an executed sale. You should see two actually.

  • Re: The 24-hour auction selling seats on Saturday's hangout for LTBCOINTEST begins now!

I made a couple of sales to myself back and forth. Before, that was jogging the open orders into view when I tried it with other assets, but not any more. I've informed xnova, but at this point, we'll make it into a blind auction.

Because of my trades, it will now recommend a price of 999 LTBCOINTEST for 1 LETCOINSEAT as teh market rate. (I had to trade at a high price so as not to take out people's auction orders.) This price is in no way a reflection of any real bids and you'll now have to click the override market rate to place the bid offer you want.

  • Re: BOUNTY: 100 LTBCOINTEST

    Sounds great! Sure.

Why not have a voting period, though? It's easy for anyone to sock puppet 5 accounts and get their art chosen. And anyway, the first art to get 5 votes is not necessarily the one the community prefers.

  • Re: The 24-hour auction selling seats on Saturday's hangout for LTBCOINTEST begins now!

Heads up that there seems to be a display bug in the Open Orders tab that will show your order for 1 LTBCOINSEAT as an order for 0.00000001 LTBCOINSEAT after you log out and back into Counterwallet. I've notified xnova, though it shows up well in the History tab and indeed seems to redeem well for 1 unit of the asset according to my tests.

  • The 24-hour auction selling seats on Saturday's hangout for LTBCOINTEST begins now!

We are putting up 4 seats for the next LTBcoin hangout (Saturday March 29, time to be announced) up for auction on test net using Counterwallet. As many of you know, the long term plan is to auction seats, sponsorships and other things for real money, and this is a great chance to give it a try and iron out the kinks. Please report any issues you have here.
The way it will work is that interested parties place bids to buy an asset called LTBCOINSEAT, paying in LTBCOINTEST.
The auction ends at 15:00 New York time (18:00 Los Angeles time) on Friday March 28, when I will sell the four LTBCOINSEAT tokens to the four highest bids. After the auction, these tokens can be freely traded on Counterwallet until shortly before the hangout (exact time to be established), when Adam will hand out early links to those who own the tokens so that they can hop in before everyone else.
Eventually, we plan to have auctions end on a specific block, but this time we'll use a real-world time for various reasons, including the fact that block times can be very erratic on testnet.
To keep this as realistic as possible, please imagine you're bidding with real money and resist the temptation to bid all you have (at least not right away). Edit: The "View Prices" page is where you should expect to see other people's bids, though I think there might be some issues right now so this might have to be a blind auction for the time being.

    Instructions
    1) In Counterwallet, click "Buy & Sell" on the top left. Then, under "I want to buy", click "Other Asset" and type in LTBCOINSEAT, and under "I want to sell", do the same thing and choose "LTBCOINTEST". Pick the address you will be bidding from and hit "Next".

    2) Type "1" in the quantity to buy field. Then click the "As Sell Qty" button and enter the number of LTBCOINTEST you are bidding for that seat and click "Next". Please bid on only one seat per bid.
    3) Review your bid  and then press "Confirm & Place Order".
    4) Your order will be sent to the network and when it is confirmed on the blockchain, you will see it move to the "Open Orders" icon.
    Easy as pie!
Right now, you will have to cancel your order and place a new one in order to increase your bid. I know that's not ideal, particularly because bids can be reduced or retracted and because you also have a chance of ending up with no bid or double bids for two seats if you do this too close to the end of the auction. Hopefully we'll find solutions to those issues going forward.

EDIT: I made a couple of sales to myself back and forth. Before, that was jogging the open orders into view when I tried it with other assets, but not any more. I've informed xnova, but at this point, we'll make it into a blind auction.

Because of my trades, Counterwallet will now recommend a price of 999 LTBCOINTEST for 1 LTBCOINSEAT as the market rate. (I had to trade at a high price so as not to risk taking out people's actual auction orders.) This price is in no way a reflection of any real bids and you'll now have to click the override market rate to place the bid offer you want.

  • Re: "Forking" a metacoin on Counterparty

It's also in your best interest to give your assets to people who believe in what you are doing, not just so that they get behind you, but also to reduce the risk of them dumping your asset when you least expect.

  • Re: "Forking" a metacoin on Counterparty

This is a very interesting concept. Ultimately, if LTBcoin ends up being run through a proof-of-stake voting mechanism it will be the LTBcoin holders themselves who decide if they want your Strangeshares or anyone else's tokens or not.
