Writers: Need editing help? Editors: Want to earn some coin?

• What if you have an interesting topic to write about but need help getting the words, structure and flow down right?

• What happens when the article you wrote to the best of your abilities and submitted to the LTBn is rejected or returned for reworking?

The LTBn editors unfortunately don't have the time to do more than a relatively light editing job on the articles you submit. Sometimes that is not enough and you will need some personalized editing help to polish off your work.

The plan is to build a proper platform for the LTBn editing market, where writers and editors will be able see each other's reputation and negotiate on jobs. There will even be a collaborative workspace you can use to get things done more efficiently. But, for now, it's still early, Wild West days while we work on the infrastructure that will make that possible.

Don't let that stop you!

Writers and editors can still team up right here in the Content Market. Either negotiate compensation as a percentage of the LTBcoin award the post will get at the end of the week for Proof of Quality and after a month for Proof of Value. Or you could agree on a flat rate in LTBcoin or any other currency you like.

@r-frank The article you submitted ( http://letstalkbitcoin.com/dashboard/blog-post/edit/470 ) isn't quite up to standard and I've set it's status back to "draft". @dgiors gave it an editing pass and left you some comments for improvement, though I think it might need a re-think and re-write.

In the future, the plan is that writers will be choosing editors to work with and paying them a part of the article's earnings or whatever in return. Feel free to kick this off by negotiating a rate with @dgiors or anyone else in the community if you want personalized editing help.

@mdw Oh that sucks, who published the old version today after not reading this thread yesterday? Newer version is a rewrite, bigger graph at bottom, more links and everything.

Whoever published it was not able to see that I wrote this comment at the top of the page is my guess, the platform did not save my edits in other words.

I've updated the already-published version with the graph and the links. It would be much more complicated to add the other changes since it would require resubmitting the article for editing. If there is anything specific you really need to change, let me know. (Use @rotalumis to notify me as thread subscription seems to be broken, at least for me.) I also updated the number of nodes.

The thing to keep in mind is that before you mark an article as "Ready for Publishing", you need to make sure it is indeed ready, as people will get to work on it before they have a chance to read any other threads. In this case, your original article was edited on June 21 (before you submitted the other version) and scheduled for publishing shortly after, even if it only appeared yesterday.

@davidareallen Just curious, how would you like to see the live auction on a Skype thread?

Skype would limit the number of people who can participate and make it invitation only. IRC might be a better option. In any case I think you'd have to update the forums and take bids there too for maximum reach.

@William We don't really have a date yet as we're still getting started on this but we're excited about the possibilities. I expect we'll soon start experimenting with some simple features and gradually rolling them out.

So, for example, if we wanted to beta test a feature with just a few users we could make it available at first only to users with more than a certain amount of LTBcoin or reputation tokens or whatever.

@william The only thing is that for people like me, who need the cash, we don't tend to keep a lot of extra LTBC in our wallets.

It won't even have to be LTBcoin or much of that. Think of tokens that represent achievements too, such as "Insightful Commenter" of you get lots of likes, or a token you get for participating in an event.

@lainfinity @rotalumis is it ok if I include the details of implementation in LTBcoin.
