I'm a graphic artist and small-scale inventor/entrepreneur who started spending a lot of my time exploring Bitcoin in early 2013.

I've been accepting Bitcoin for design and print work since May 2013 (my first Bitcoin job was business cards for the Let's Talk Bitcoin team to bring to Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose).

I've been selling Bitcoin Keychains since July 2013.

I made Litecoin keychains a bit later in 2013, but they haven't been selling that well (anyone want a deal on 1000 Litecoin keychains?).

I've written bitcoin articles on Let's Talk Bitcoin and Spelunk.in

And in October of 2014 I became an LTB Network podcaster with The Bitcoin Game!

I'm definitely not a Bitcoin expert, just an enthusiast who enjoys participating as much as I can.

    @edd

Thanks for the tip about Elizabeth Swan's talk, I'll check that out sooner than later. I'm listening to the regulation panel right now (some scary stuff).

Yeah, I didn't hear anything positive about the HOPE Gold Coin. I missed their presentation, but it sounds like the Q&A part got a little ugly. I interviewed one of their team, and it was definitely confusing. I feel like the details I was told about the "multiplier effect" are slightly different than what you're saying. Their literature also didn't seem to match up precisely with what I was told. Like I think their literature talks about speculating on their coin, though that seems to counter everything I was told, and the stable $10 thing.

  • Re: Texas Bitcoin Conference

I agree on all counts! I actually originally had the conference described in a way that made it sound like a Bitcoin party and conference, and that we'd able to buy cocktails and enjoy them while listening to talks and panels.

I actually heard very few of the speakers, as I was mostly out interviewing people. But I do have them all recorded, and hope to listen to all 17-ish hours as time permits.

Did any stand out to you as being great?

What did you think of H.O.P.E. Gold Coin?

  • Re: Texas Bitcoin Conference

Awww, darn, wish I would have talked to you more. I definitely did want to connect with other listeners from LTB-land (since I'm just a listener with a podcast!). What did you think of the conference?

@edd That was me, Rob. You were obviously busy so I just said "Hi" and left you to your interviews. I'm sure we'll run into each other at another event in the future.

  • Re: Texas Bitcoin Conference

I'm sorry for being so clueless, but who was it from this thread who came up to me on Saturday morning of the conference?

  • Re: Scaling bitcoin with micropayment channels

@ademczuk Sigh... Coindesk had to blow the lid off my find! I got in touch with Joseph Poon last week, and he agreed to come on my show when I return from vacation. But that wouldn't air for at least two weeks.

@adam, if you want to interview Joseph and Thaddeus, by all means go for it. Just let me know, so I won't double the efforts.

EDIT: I'm so out of it, I didn't see the dates on the original post. Thought this was new. Sorry! Their talk in SF was referenced on my Episode #11 by Paul Puey (when I asked him, from the audience, how he thought Bitcoin could scale to make the network able to become a mainstream payment system).

Well, if any of you see me there, please say hi! I might be wearing glasses, so don't let that throw you. And I'll probably be lugging around a backpack.
