Weird, I didn't intend for the bidder's names to get headline treatment. @cryptonaut, is there a known bug? Is it because I put number on two consecutive lines? I once saw someone else complain about unwanted bolding like this, but wrote him off, assuming he was doing something weird.

    ====== UPDATE ======

    AUCTION ENDING SUNDAY, AUGUST 3

TOP TWO BIDS WIN 1 HOUR EACH

    1 BID - @Zero4ce 16,000 LTBc

    2 BID - @deweller 12,000 LTBc

The top bid of 16,000 LTBc is about $40 for an hour of Adam's time (his stated rate is .3 BTC per hour -- currently equal to $175).

  • Re: [CLOSED] Auction for 1 Hour of Adam B. Levine's Time

Regarding the auction that ended 7/27/14.

I believe I won with a bid of 20K LTBc, and that @dsmalone came in second with 16K bid. And I think @deweller didn't see my bid of 20K, and didn't realize dsmalone was bidding for second place, and so he needed to bid higher than 16K (and failing to do so mean's he did not outbid the 2nd place bid). That's my read of the past auction, feel free to speak up if anyone sees it differently after looking at the last page of that thread.

@Adam, as you've closed that thread, can you please tell us to what address the two winners should send their LTBc? (And will it be the same address for future auctions?)

  • Re: [CLOSED] Auction for 1 Hour of Adam B. Levine's Time

Previous auction ended 3 hours ago. As I was a bidder, I didn't expect to be involved in admin of that auction. And am offline now for awhile... Really...

  • Re: [CLOSED] Auction for 1 Hour of Adam B. Levine's Time

@deweller Oh. This must be the auction that ends NEXT week (August 3rd). I was confused. I'll leave my bids for now as I am sure they will be overbid.

I'm confused a bit. I had bid 20k on the previous auction for @Adam's time, and the second highest bid was 16k. I think you needed to bid higher than 16k LTBc.

Also confused because I intended to administer this auction going forward, not the one that ended today (since I was a bidder). So hoping Adam can confirm the winners today from. I'm just replying from my mobile now, and will be out of touch for awhile.

  • Re: [CLOSED] Auction for 1 Hour of Adam B. Levine's Time

@deweller Can I place a bid for both tokens?

I'd like to bid 6,000 LTBc for one and a 12,000 LTBc for the the other.

Even at 12,000, I think this would be quite the steal. :)

I think the goal is a free market, so I don't see any reason why not. I guess you are aware there's another auction that ends in 38 minutes? http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/auction-adam-b-levine-weekly-hour-long-consultation-via-skype?

  • Re: [AUCTION] [Adam B. Levine] [Weekly End Date Sunday Noon Pacific] Hour Long Consultation via Skype (High Bid 6500)

    @Adam

@dsmalone @rob I'd be glad to volunteer to assist you in managing the auction for Adams time if you might need help. I bid 16000 LTBc

    Best Dale

I just posted a new thread for the next auction: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/auction-for-1-hour-of-adam-b-levines-time

    Thanks All!

    THIS AUCTION IS CLOSED

    Here's one ending 8.16.2014 at 9:00 AM (-07:00)

    http://auction.letstalkbitcoin.com/auction/2-hours-consulting-time-with-adam-b-levine

[AUCTION] [Adam B. Levine] [Weekly End Date Sunday Noon Pacific]

    Hour Long Consultation via Skype

This weekly auction ends each Sunday at noon, Pacific Time (general time used for most LTBc auctions). Adam has allowed me to run this auction. I will keep it going week after week in this thread until there seems to be a reason to start fresh.

There are two Skype sessions auctioned each week, so the top two bidders will win (there are not two independent auctions for the two sessions). Please don't match a previous bid, as it leaves ambiguity about who is in second place if someone outbids the two equal bids (first bidder at a shared bid value has priority).

Adam will redeem two Skype sessions per week, so some weeks may be busier than other to schedule. And sometimes Adam will be out-of-town, etc. Auction winners receive a token from Adam, that can be redeemed for the time talking to him. The token can be saved, transferred, traded, etc.

When you bid, please consider the value of an hour of Adam's dedicated time, and the value of one LTBc on the open market. If you're in the U.S. and it matters, you can calculate the value of your bid here: http://joelooney.org/ltbcoin/calc

LTBc payments from winning bidders should be sent to:
    18YFt8ek8duhKFGG2x9Tk5fjuVHncMugkR
(you can verify this address vs. Adam's post on pg 2 of this thread)

  • Re: [AUCTION] [Adam B. Levine] [Weekly End Date Sunday Noon Pacific] Hour Long Consultation via Skype (High Bid 6500)

@adam Actually i'm just slammed, when I get time I need to create a new token and send it out to people who won hours but dont want to yet redeem the time. I didnt really think about that.

Whats going to happen is I'll have two hours for sale per week and two hour long slots per week. The slots will be first come first serve at least for a while.

Great, that sounds like a good setup, thanks for clarifying. I'd love to manage this auction in a fresh thread in the future. But for now, I'll bid 20,000. At the going rate of LTBc, that is still an amazing value for an hour of your time.

  • Re: [AUCTION] [Adam B. Levine] [Weekly End Date Sunday Noon Pacific] Hour Long Consultation via Skype (High Bid 6500)

@Adam, I feel like this thread is very confusing, and not being managed like the other LTB auctions are. Your signature on every post links here, which makes me think this is still an active weekly auction. If that's the case, the auction ends today at noon pacific time, and the current two highest bids are 15,000 LTBc by @dsmalone and 10,000 by @Zero4ce (note that both bidders expressed being unclear if the auction is going on as they posted their bids). Are two separate hours still being auctioned every week?

To make it confusing, your initial post references only early bids in the first auction, and the name of this page indicates it's filed under "Completed Auctions." I've seen you post in this thread, but you haven't addressed questions @william and I had about auctions we won, and you haven't made it clear if this auction is live or not.

Assuming you are still auctioning off your time, I think you need a manager to handle this auction. I think it's really unclear what is going on, and as a winner of the first auction, I feel like the terms have changed a few times, and I'm not really sure if there's urgency to me using the hour of your time (at one point I was excited that you said a token was mentioned as being issued to the winner, but that post seems to have been deleted).
