    I'm a graphic artist and small-scale inventor/entrepreneur who started spending a lot of my time exploring Bitcoin in early 2013.

    I've been accepting Bitcoin for design and print work since May 2013 (my first Bitcoin job was business cards for the Let's Talk Bitcoin team to bring to Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose).

    I've been selling Bitcoin Keychains since July 2013.

    I made Litecoin keychains a bit later in 2013, but they haven't been selling that well (anyone want a deal on 1000 Litecoin keychains?).

    I've written bitcoin articles on Let's Talk Bitcoin and Spelunk.in
    LetsTalkBitcoin.com/blog

    And in October of 2014 I became an LTB Network podcaster with The Bitcoin Game!

    I'm definitely not a Bitcoin expert, just an enthusiast who enjoys participating as much as I can.

    @kerneloops @Rob It's all here, even creating your own one (bottom left): http://auction.letstalkbitcoin.com/

    This is great! I'm about to make a token good for a Bitcoin keychain, so I can get an auction going. Yay! Now waiting for some XCP to make it from Melotic to my Counterwallet.

  • Re: AUCTION VENDING MACHINES ARE NOW OPERATIONAL

    @faceface

    @adam this is a fundamentally better way once we work out the bugs.

    Why?

    It was better for me to buy HOURCONSULT tokens, with the idea I can speculate and sell the token to someone else in the future (assuming all goes well with the system and Adam).

    Also, what an amazing experimental way to practice using tokens as mediums of exchange for different things. While it may not have been helpful for your personal experience of simply wanting an hour of Adam's time right away, I'd think you might see how it relates to everything that is going on here.

  • Re: Satoshi's Unmoved Coins

    Interesting idea. Feels like one could come up with a lot of possible explanations, both planned and unplanned, to explain unmoved coins.

  • Re: AUCTION VENDING MACHINES ARE NOW OPERATIONAL

    @Adam

    1) I assume you'll be setting this up for the HOURCONSULT coin for this week? Or should I continue the manual auction?

    2) How about offering us the ability to automate our own private auctions in LTBc, using the platform that you and @deweller are perfecting? And, you take a percentage, or serve ads, or do something to make it worth your while?

  • Re: AUCTION VENDING MACHINES ARE NOW OPERATIONAL

    @adam

    @loon3 @adam awesome. is this an implementation of vennd's software?

    No, we tried to work with them but they have too many things on their plate, we wound up rolling our own. @deweller was the guy on that project.

    Cool to see so many amazing developers here!

  • Re: How do you execute a double spend?

    @highasakite I know how to basics work, I am just interested in how it would actually work since no ' normal' wallet lets you double spend your coins.

    I think a wallet protecting the user by not allowing double-spends is just the very tiny tip of the iceberg in the difficulty of a double spend. There are lots of wiki posts and BitcoinTalk.org discussions of the complexities, and I think the very basic assumption is that the entity trying the double-spend has their own code they use to attempt the attack, rather than a wallet that's coded to follow the rules.

  • Re: SJCX aka Storj project

    Thanks to Storj Founder @super3 for stopping by and commenting! I just added this intro paragraph, but I'm pretending you aren't here for the balance of my post (or I can't really be open with my comments).

    With only one week left of their month-long sale, and only having received 616 BTC, the crowdsale seems to be going slower than they had hoped. Their fundraising goal is 9,800 BTC, and they offer a 10% discount for the first 1,800 BTC received.

    I have no judgement myself about the project (I have not done due diligence), but I did see some notables in the crypto-world stated interest in the project, and Shawn Wikinson (Super3) seems like a genuine person with some impressive credits (impressive to me, at least). Of course, that's not enough to base a large investment on. One crypto-investor mentioned he would wait until late in the fundraising window before jumping in, to see if it was overbought. So perhaps the relatively low amount of BTC invested (and it really is relative, since 600+ BTC is still a lot!) makes this more attractive from an investment perspective, if you believe in the project. I do hope they make enough to effectively move forward with their project, and I'm still thinking about putting a bit of BTC in.

  • Re: How do you execute a double spend?

    I think Higas was asking how one would TRY to execute a double spend. And my more layman's answer (as I'm less technical than Ivan) is that you'd want to somehow transmit one spend to one part of the network, and one spend to another, and hope you can fool the two people you are paying long enough to get what you paid for, before the network sees both transaction attempts, and invalidates one.

    Your wallet is set up to follow rules, so that's why it doesn't allow a double spend. Feel free to correct me if I'm not quite dead on (and I'll learn something too).

    @Tron
    @markxmayer

    @adam will send your HOURCONSULT tokens, feel free to reach out to him if you don't receive in the next day or so.

    And schedule the consultation with [email protected], when you're ready to do so.

    Thanks for your prompt payment.
