I'm a graphic artist and small-scale inventor/entrepreneur who started spending a lot of my time exploring Bitcoin in early 2013.

I've been accepting Bitcoin for design and print work since May 2013 (my first Bitcoin job was business cards for the Let's Talk Bitcoin team to bring to Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose).

I've been selling Bitcoin Keychains since July 2013.

I made Litecoin keychains a bit later in 2013, but they haven't been selling that well (anyone want a deal on 1000 Litecoin keychains?).

I've written bitcoin articles on Let's Talk Bitcoin and Spelunk.in

And in October of 2014 I became an LTB Network podcaster with The Bitcoin Game!

I'm definitely not a Bitcoin expert, just an enthusiast who enjoys participating as much as I can.

  • Bitcoin Keychain - "LTB Auctioneer" Auction

Use the link below to bid for one (two-sided) Bitcoin keychain, mailed from Southern California to anywhere within the USA. The winning bidder will automatically receive a Counterparty token, BKEYCHAINUSA, redeemable for a Bitcoin keychain, if all goes well with some of the first auctions using this hand-crafted technology. Or you can transfer the token to someone else (what a nice gift for your friend on the forums!). Or hold it if you think it will be worth more in the future (doubtful). It's all just playing in this token-crtypto-garden the LTB crew has built.

  • Re: AUCTION VENDING MACHINES ARE NOW OPERATIONAL

I just set up my first auction

    and here are some thoughts…

    http://auction.letstalkbitcoin.com/auction/bitcoin-keychain-by-bkeychain-com-shipped-in-usa
(starts in about 35 minutes, though I already see a pre-bid, which I wonder if it really differs from a bid during the stated duration?)

    1) it's really quick and easy to set up an auction, and fund it using Counterwallet.
    2) you fill out the form, and THEN you worry about funding it (change your mind? don't fund!)
    3) there doesn't appear to be a way to add a photo, or edit once the text is submitted (feature requests)
    4) I had to pay a .005 BTC fee (currently worth about $2.86, or 3846 LTBc), plus I had to pay 1,000 LTBc (the starting bid -- I guess it's correlated, though perhaps not). I guess the BTC is to cover transaction costs? I'd love to understand what will happen to the LTBc, and why it needed to be collected. Also, that .005 BTC could be a deal killer for an inexpensive item, such as the item I'm selling (I still went through with the auction, just to be hands on). Might be important to work out a minimum bid strategy, knowing that there's a real fixed cost (assuming the BTC doesn't get returned).

  • Re: AUCTION VENDING MACHINES ARE NOW OPERATIONAL

@bcohen the bid bounty was returned to me. I wasn't expecting all my LTBcoin to be returned to me.. I thought it would subtract out the bid bounty. It appears my entire bids were returned to me after the auction (I lost both auctions). Is that right? (maybe it is!)

I think it actually makes sense, as you paid a bid bounty when you bid higher than the previous bidder, but then you received the same bounty (since it's a fixed number) when you were outbid. Which makes me wonder what the bid bounty is supposed to do -- I would almost except it to be percentage based, and each looser actually gets a tiny bit more bid bounty than they put in (if the goal is to encourage bids). Can @adam or @dweller explain the purpose/goal of the bid bounty? Is it functioning correctly when it's a net zero prospect for people who don't win?

BTW, why do you think this auction was so high? I think it was a lot higher than previous, if my recollection is correct. Could the automated auction be the sole reason? Or just a coincidence? An interesting difference with these auctions is they don't tell us all who is bidding/winning, which makes it a bit more opaque (though research may or may not answer that question, if the bidding address is publicly connected to someone).

  • Re: [ASK] THE EXCHANGE MARKET

Correct, I said in my post that it is offline at the moment (I don't know why).

  • Re: [ASK] THE EXCHANGE MARKET

Melotic.com is an exchange that does that, however they happen to be offline at the moment. It should be achievable using the Counterwallet, I believe, though I never had success with it.

But you should keep your LTBc! A new auction tool has popped up, so you may be able to buy a lot of things for LTBc soon. That fosters the community, and doesn't push the LTBc exchange rate down. Though my statement is a bit selfish, as I want LTBc and the LTB Network to thrive.

  • Re: Melodic down for anyone else?

    Yes… And Loon3's tools, as well…

Is it just me who feels slight panic when an exchange holding some of my coins is down?

  • Re: 134 not showing up on iOS podcast app

I just checked again, and see all the episodes states as missing above, and am listening to today's LTB podcast right now. Look again, and scroll to the right too, as they were out-of-order for me originally.

  • Re: Technical Question: Should the website hold LTBcoin balances for users?

@deweller I'm working on a proposal for this right now. We want a solution that is secure and convenient as possible, and those are often competing objectives.

I thought the were always competing! Excited to see what you come up with.

  • Re: 134 not showing up on iOS podcast app

I see it, but it's a couple of podcasts to the right (rather than where I would expect to see it). Take a look and see if you find it.
