    I'm a graphic artist and small-scale inventor/entrepreneur who started spending a lot of my time exploring Bitcoin in early 2013.

    I've been accepting Bitcoin for design and print work since May 2013 (my first Bitcoin job was business cards for the Let's Talk Bitcoin team to bring to Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose).

    I've been selling Bitcoin Keychains since July 2013.

    I made Litecoin keychains a bit later in 2013, but they haven't been selling that well (anyone want a deal on 1000 Litecoin keychains?).

    I've written bitcoin articles on Let's Talk Bitcoin and Spelunk.in

    And in October of 2014 I became an LTB Network podcaster with The Bitcoin Game!

    I'm definitely not a Bitcoin expert, just an enthusiast who enjoys participating as much as I can.

  • Re: Craigslist adopts Bitcoin

    Sorry, browsing quickly, and didn't read you paper. But as another way to attack this, what if you tried to get a movement going in the crypto community to place ads on Craigslist (for items, services, and garage sales) and mention in every ad that Bitcoin is accepted?

  • Re: buying 10k LTBC for 3 XCP on DEX

    Thanks for the report. My trades using Counterwallet months ago never went through. I gave up trying, just use an exchange now.

    With more and more exchanges starting to collected customer information (I assume due to pressure from at least the U.S. gov), I wonder if Counterparty is insulated from having to do this, with the decentralized exchange accessed by Counterwallet?

  • Re: MELOTIC - now requires ID verification for ALL trades

    I didn't see this thread until after getting the below email from Melotic today. I'm wondering if I'll need to go through all the KYC stuff to withdraw anything I have there?

  • Re: Do you have a Circle wallet?

    @sanoc what is circle wallet

    Circle.com

    A website to buy and sell Bitcoin (not sure if it's just in the U.S.). Very mainstream-friendly, but very into know-your-customer compliance, and with lots of spending limits, etc. And you can use a credit card to buy Bitcoin.

    Good to learn from people who know a lot more than I do!

  • Re: Adam's Process

    @bitsol

    Can I give you advice, based on how it went for me?

    1) Record and assemble a complete podcast. I think it has to be at least 30 minutes, but seems most podcasts here are longer.

    2) Post the podcast online and send a link to @Adam's email address.

    3) See what Adam says.

    Feel free to ask me additional questions on this thread -- I'm no expert, but I saw what it took for me, and I'm accessible (Adam seems busy enough that he doesn't always respond to posts).

    Note that this podcast was actually my second podcast attempt. I packaged another complete podcast (from another interview) a few months ago, and sent it to Adam. He listened and pointed out some weaknesses (that I agreed with), so I pretty much started from scratch on this new podcast. But creating the original podcast was a really good learning experience. This new podcast was also a big learning experience, and I hope I can do a lot better with future interviews.

    @cryptonaut

    While I don't know much web development or servers, I noticed some podcasts use the identical visual image several times, however it's different JPGs that are bing served:

    New Bitcoins & Gravy image 172k X 3 uses Standard Beyond Bitcoin image 211k X 3 uses Standard P2P Connects Us image 117k X 3 uses

    I know it would be a manual short-term patch (if it's even doable), but if you could have one JPG for each instance (instead of three), that would save a total of about 1MB of traffic per home page view. And if you could somehow give content creators an option to just reuse previously uploaded JPGs, rather than making creators upload a new JPG with each submission, maybe that could be a longterm way to slim down the amount of image data your servers need to deliver for the home page?
