    I'm a graphic artist and small-scale inventor/entrepreneur who started spending a lot of my time exploring Bitcoin in early 2013.

    I've been accepting Bitcoin for design and print work since May 2013 (my first Bitcoin job was business cards for the Let's Talk Bitcoin team to bring to Bitcoin 2013 in San Jose).

    I've been selling Bitcoin Keychains since July 2013.

    I made Litecoin keychains a bit later in 2013, but they haven't been selling that well (anyone want a deal on 1000 Litecoin keychains?).

    I've written bitcoin articles on Let's Talk Bitcoin and Spelunk.in

    And in October of 2014 I became an LTB Network podcaster with The Bitcoin Game!

    I'm definitely not a Bitcoin expert, just an enthusiast who enjoys participating as much as I can.

  • Re: Let's Discuss Cloud Mining

    I have zero firsthand experience cloud mining. But I did a small project for someone who was one of the top people at a cloud mining company, and I had the chance to ask him straight out if it was ever more profitable to buy a cloud mining contract with his company than to just buy Bitcoin. I was surprised that he basically admitted it was better to just buy Bitcoin. He said they presented their contracts to look attractive, but the details used the present network hash rate, and didn't take into account the projected increases in the hash rate during the term of the contract.

    To defend their company, he said a lot of people just don't want to buy Bitcoin, but they do like the idea of being hands on, and mining Bitcoins… Not that cloud-mining seems very hands-on to me, but maybe it does to some people. And he said it's a way to get more people involved in Bitcoin.

    Of course, any company could go broke, get hacked, be running a Ponzi scheme, or have other issues. All considered, cloud mining seems like a lot of risk to me, and thus I've never had any desire to give it a try.

    On the other hand, I was thinking a positive side of cloud mining is that we do need hashing power to secure the network, and I supposed any real cloud-mining company (and everyone who buys a contract with a such a company) is helping to secure the network.

    @cryptonaut

    Maybe someday... I might want to see how Adam feels about it first.

  • Interview with Adam B. Levine

    I wanted to do a shameless plug (actually, I do feel shame, but that's just my personality) for my latest podcast with Adam B. Levine. I think anyone who listens to Let's Talk Bitcoin will find it interesting to learn a bit about his start in Bitcoin podcasting, as well as a wide range of other topics that don't overlap much with what you hear on his main show. And there's still 5 hours left to get credit for the magic word (for those who care).
