Bio:
From 2007 until present Robert has been building out MDFs and IDFs for multi million dollar companies across the midwest and has managed hundreds of new construction IT build outs for various project sizes from small retail stores to large shipping distribution centers. Also during this time frame Robert has serviced hundreds of general IT service calls dealing with everything from broadband, to network upgrades, and everything in between dealing with copper cabling, security, fiber optics, and any commercial grade IT equipment maintenance. In between this time, Robert also spent 1 year acting as a Northern Michigan Red Cross IT administrator and has dedicated a small amount of time doing Linux server configurations for a small Indianapolis company.
In 2013 Robert discovered Bitcoin and has spent every free moment dedicating time to advancing his knowledge in the field of cryptocurrency. From March 2013 until April 2014 Robert was a Bitcoin and Altcoin miner building up a mining farm consisting of 34 GPUs and 8 CPUs. Since mining on general computer hardware was no longer profitable for cryptocurrency mining, Robert co-founded FoldingCoin Inc in July 2014 with hopes of helping to redirect a large amount of the mining power that goes into altcoins to be better used towards Stanford's Folding@home project.
Since FoldingCoin was well received in the cryptocurrency community, Robert decided in January of 2015 to go full time in the Counterparty community. Since the beginning of 2015 Robert has taken on the following roles:
- Director of FoldingCoin Inc
- Community director for the Counterparty Foundation
- Host of the LTB podcast: “XCP Weekly Update”
- Webmaster of XCPassets.org
- Event coordinator to the Indy Bitcoin Meetup

Re: DMD Diamond coin - 50% annual interest
@maestro DMD Diamond was never designed to be used by retailers. I fully understand your point but we all know that no other coins besides BTC will ever achieve mass retail acceptance. So, if this is the case, how come there is a few hundred million USD worth of alt coin market? People obviously like to make/lose money on alts, regarding of them being accepted by retailers.
DMD Diamond was designed to perform one of the main functions of money, preservation of wealth. Only in this case, it s a gold bar which mints more gold bars, due to its 50% annual PoS function.
The fact we re just above 2 week until 2nd DMD Diamond birthday shows how stable this coins is. How many alt coins you know, besides the big 5, which have been around long enough to reach year 3?
Regarding liquidity, true, this is still the issue, however DMD Diamond has been showing clear improvements in this field, daily volume s been rising as compared to about 2 months ago and I m confident the price ll continue to increase as well.
Thx for your comment, really good stuff.
I guess i have a hard time figuring out how you can say it was designed to preserve wealth, with a free market how is this possibly? The only way i can think of is if you are backing it with something like real diamonds, but then you become a centralized coin as someone has to hold the real diamonds.

Re: DMD Diamond coin - 50% annual interest
All of this looks great, website, scarcity, mining, ext...
But there is one big problem this community is not seeing, 2014 was the year of the Altcoins. Since all the bitcoin copycats came out, new projects that offer more then just a store of currency have been developed:
- Counterparty
- Ethereum
- Syscoin
- Omin
- NXT
- Monera
- Ext.
I agree with @adam, without offering something more then just another coin, i do not feel that this will be anything more then speculative. It is nice and fun to play around in this space with day trading hundreds of currencies, but ultimately this offers nothing unique, a simple crypto is old news, its all about what can i do with your blockchain. And if that is simply sending a form of currency, no one will ultimately get on board except for the speculators of the currency. I know you will have a response to this, but I want you to really think of the following question:
"Will a business really accept Diamond when Bitcoin is out there? With Bitcoin you have coinbase, bitpay, exchanges, buyers, sellers, development, and international interest. With Alts you barely have a QT client running. Money is poured into BTC and 2.0 projects, not another Alt."
think about this: with 5 BTC (that is not that much in a market) I could completely crash the DIA price from 95,000 Satoshis to 25,000 Satoshis. And also think about this, you are using BTC to buy and sell it, not USD.

Re: [ANN] CoinPig.net - Get extra Bitcoins by using Wallet!
@adam Hey there, This really sounds like an old webwallet scam with HYIP stuck into it. Is your wallet open source? Do you control user private keys? How are you generating 1% profit on a monthly and per transaction basis if it's not trying to entice people into putting tx volume through your service where you control the keys and can walk away with the money when enough is flowing around your closed system?
In the world of crypto "profit" is really subsidiary to "why should I trust you?" I look forward to better understanding your product.
Odds are that this is spam, probably no one gonna respond :(

Re: LTB Ideas
@pooktwo So I know i havent been active in the forums of late, life has been getting in the way and i have been really busy with the other things i am working on, but July is looking like a good time for me to be a consistent poster again :D I have a couple new ideas @cryptonaut that I wish to share with you:
- It would be nice if the threads had a link to the "latest comment" so i dont have to scroll to the bottom then to the last page and scroll to the bottom again
- I just noticed that each user now has a ranking system for LTB Participation Rank & LTB Content Creation Rank. I think it would be cool to have a full list of users and their rankings so we can see the top contributors rather then clicking on their usernames
Good ideas Robert, we're in the middle of a full platform redesign and both of these are planned.
Shocking that you guys already thought of it :D
