@jshow5555 Big % of my time too.
What sort of things are you doing with that time? Looking up prices? Researching and reading? The news? Forums? All of the above?

Re: LTB emails coming in as spam on Gmail
@cryptonaut I updated the DNS. let me know if this is still happening to you guys
Just wanted to report back that it isn't happening for me anymore but I do not know if that is because of the DNS changes or because Gmail learned from me via marking it not spam.
I am guessing from the lack of replies or new posts from others that this might be fixed at the moment.

Re: BTC Consumption
@mjroncone Wholeheartedly agree. Somewhere around 25-30% of my average day is spent interacting with bitcoin in some way.
It certainly seems that time is being spent by many others on Bitcoin in someway as well.
When you think about it though, how much time do we spend obsessing or indirectly worrying about fiat money?

Re: What do you guys think of recent Gov. acceptance of Bitcoin?
Yeah, I'm not so much worried about them banning it, but rather co-opting it and controlling it somehow. I know that there are tremendous hurdles to them being able to do such a thing, but that does not mean it is impossible IMHO. There was a time when society would have laughed at the silly notion that people would someday trade in their gold for paper.
Those were almost my exact thoughts. I think we have yet to see the full imagination and creativity of the-powers-that-be to come up with a way to get this rebellion under control somehow. Until they actually figure it out, I think we will continue to see a slow and cautious "If you can't beat them, join them" approach by intermingling crypto with centralized currency and infrastructure.
That is certainly a concern with a distributed system such as this.
While the bar is extremely high for someone to come in and execute a 51% by themselves (such as a government) it doesn't mean it isn't impossible.
It isn't likely because that would be quite a spend to stop something when other ways do exist.
It is concerning to see GHASH with the large level of power they even to this day remains. It wouldn't take much for a bad player to come in and do something bad. Money does in fact always talk.
From an idealistic standpoint much of what is happening in Bitcoin is already a distinct change. To reach mass adoption some of the more idealistic things have to be shed and have been already.
We have to weigh what we are willing to give up for mass adoption. I know many of us feel we don't have to give up anything but we've reached a point of massive speculation and the best way to combat that speculation that will ultimately be damaging to Bitcoin in the same manner it has been fiat is for us to say we aren't just going to hold.
Spending Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is such a powerful thing. It keeps the money moving and doesn't allow it to stagnate for others to co-opt it, for others to purely speculate on it, and will help make mass adoption more appealing than an asset that needs to give up it's more idealistic facets to go further critical.
This is a way to help prevent bad players from stopping it. Just use it.

Re: Tipping LTB with LTBcoin
Yep - Fap = something pleasing for one person and pretty boring for everyone else, and you've got it exactly right.
Also note that I don't sock-puppet, I do this in the open because we're all playing by the same rules.
The fact that you are being so open about this is an awesome thing. I've been really impressed by the transparency that you and others on the LTB network have shown.
I think you are in the midst of creating something really awesome and I've been quite impressed by it.
Keep it up.

BTC Consumption
Howdy,
One thing that I've heard fairly consistently from people inside my social circle is that Bitcoin is literally consuming a ton of time.
When you first learned about Bitcoin did you suddenly find a majority of your time being sucked up by Bitcoin?
It certainly seems that when you first learn about Bitcoin you have to spend a lot of time learning about Bitcoin, and then you become sucked in to Bitcoin.
How much of your time is consumed by Bitcoin each day? 10%, 20%, even higher?
I have to admit we are at 100% for me right now. I literally get up and start each day with Bitcoin and go to bed each night as I wrap up with Bitcoin.
What about you?

Re: THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR LTBCOIN
@adam Yes! we have a two tiered system in the works.
There are two pools of LTBCOIN equal in size, these are part of the 25% given weekly to the audience. This pool rewards anyone who has an account with a properly configured address, and who generates a minimum number of "points". They are considered an active user, and so recieve an even split of these funds.
The other pool is the evangelist category - Everybody has a referrer field that is automagically populated by links as you suggest or manually by just putting in your patrons username. Every active user who you referred earns you an ongoing point. If they stop being active, they don't give you a point for that week.
The more points you have, the more of the Evangelist pool you get, and its cumulative over the entire lifetime of your identity.
So you can't control your dilution in the first pool, that is likely inevitable unless the incentive doesn't inspire anybody to join. But if you make the dilution happen faster (by inviting people and being their referrer) you get an ongoing share of the second pool, and if you do it faster than the average person you'll increase your share relative to everyone else over time.
What do you think?
Great concept on the affiliate program. Excited to see when it gets going.
Not just sending blind traffic but traffic that engages with us and having an incentive to do so is awesome.
