Hey guys/gals, my name is Matt and I've been studying bitcoin behind the scenes since it's 2010. I'm a materials scientist, UI/UX designer and entrepreneur. I formally worked as a process engineer specializing in the development of thin film material.
In a recent former life I worked in a team of two to develop a hybrid social network that combined core attributes of twitter and facebook into a localized network. Unfortunately, the idea never took as it happens with most social startups. Since then I've spent a large amount of my time studying cryptocurrencies and the problems we need to solve in order to eliminate friction in adoption. I feel the world needs easier ways to mine cryptographic currencies that are outside of computational mining, which is what has led me to LTBcoin.

This could be something like 50%/20%/20%/10% or any variation thereof. Either evenly distribute each category based on total share (ie 100 people each get 1%) or leave it to Adam or the appointed disbursing officials discretion. No need to heavily complicate things. The idea is to keep the motor going, LTBcoin will have its own economy within itself.
With a cyclical distribution model it constantly changes users incentives. It's something we want to test, if it doesn't work it, doesn't work. We can always test this against a control, like your suggestion, which is a good idea.
This adds an additional gamification element since things are changing at a certain rate. Operators like the glider are already proofs of work if we can build the proper construct for them to work on. We just need to verify if the logic works first, this can be done manually. Just like the game of life can be played slow or fast.Posted on March 22, 2014 at 4:53 AM

Re: LTBcoin podcast name?
What I find so hilarious and fascinating about this dark comedy, is the creator of the project gets so scared about what he's done in the end, but he doesn't realize that everyone is in consensus with his actions. He's constantly battling himself until he creates an idea that he can't even stop. No one asks any questions and his life evolves around nothing but project mayhem and his time with a woman he can't even remember being around. So essentially he thinks everyone is a drone. But did you notice at the end, someone asks him a question "Are you ok sir?"
If Bitcoin was around in that movie it would have been a different story.
Apparently the idea, a Zeitgeist so to speak, Bitcoin has been around since 1998, but who knows, found the picture on bitcoins.com from years ago.
Fight Club was written years before this and came out in theaters in 1999.
There are several other things out there that sound like Bitcoin before it was created of course, its been this idea thats been moving slowly over time fighting regulation.
Check out what Brad Pitt and Ed Norton thought about it before they signed up they even referred to it: "This is a Zeitgeist Film" -Ed Norton

Re: 10k LTBcointest Giveaway! Post your counterwallet address and I'll send you coin!
BTW everyone there's a trigger for winning 1k LTBtestcoins.
I'm posting clues randomly around the forum. If you find one "agree" it so I can track of who's keeping up.
I'll disagree if there is a clue in the post.
There's already a clue or two out there and the trigger is waiting patiently.Posted on March 22, 2014 at 4:09 AM

Re: 10k LTBcointest Giveaway! Post your counterwallet address and I'll send you coin!
I'm talking with the team now about gamifying the testnet network for ideas that are too wild to test on LTB. So hangon to your test coins guys, we might develop a model for turning these back into LTBcoins.
This will involve some sort of proof of participation model, so I'm not advocating for hoarding. You will have to play with your assets eventually. Trying messing around and selling LTBcoins for other currencies on the network. The wallet is connected to its own exchange as well.Posted on March 22, 2014 at 2:22 AM
