Hey guys/gals, my name is Matt and I've been studying bitcoin behind the scenes since it's 2010. I'm a materials scientist, UI/UX designer and entrepreneur. I formally worked as a process engineer specializing in the development of thin film material.
In a recent former life I worked in a team of two to develop a hybrid social network that combined core attributes of twitter and facebook into a localized network. Unfortunately, the idea never took as it happens with most social startups. Since then I've spent a large amount of my time studying cryptocurrencies and the problems we need to solve in order to eliminate friction in adoption. I feel the world needs easier ways to mine cryptographic currencies that are outside of computational mining, which is what has led me to LTBcoin.

Re: Introduce yourself!
@fbsoulman Hi everyone. I'm in a small city in Western Canada. I first heard of Bitcoin soon after it started, but didn't really do anything concrete until this winter.
I started by doing a little bit of dumb ass shit like trying to get BTC4FREE on the web surf tracking networks where they gave you a few satoshis for clicking links on sponsored web sites. That obviously is no way to get any funds.
I dinked around with mining, found very quickly you can't get any yield mining BTC. But I was able to get some LTC mining going and got about .9 of an LTC. But as of now that mining yield is dropping to virtually nothing.
I then discovered trading. I stumbled upon that Bonavest guy that was doing Google+ hangouts in the winter talking about trading strategy and got some great web/youtube trading educational resources.
It was in this that I came across Vault of Satoshi. I was looking for a way to buy some BTC with CAD so I could fund a small trading account. I wanted to do a little recreational trading and see if I could make any profits.
I wouldn't say I'm an expert at trading, and I did make some bloopers on my first couple trades, but my last couple have been minorly profitable.
I spend a few hours a week surfing around the cryptocurrency space on the web and came across the LTB network a while ago and I'm loving the podcasts and articles.
Keep up the good work and keep the LTBCOIN coming ;)

Re: THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR LTBCOIN
@absolutebitcoin @adam Yes! we have a two tiered system in the works.
There are two pools of LTBCOIN equal in size, these are part of the 25% given weekly to the audience. This pool rewards anyone who has an account with a properly configured address, and who generates a minimum number of "points". They are considered an active user, and so recieve an even split of these funds.
The other pool is the evangelist category - Everybody has a referrer field that is automagically populated by links as you suggest or manually by just putting in your patrons username. Every active user who you referred earns you an ongoing point. If they stop being active, they don't give you a point for that week.
The more points you have, the more of the Evangelist pool you get, and its cumulative over the entire lifetime of your identity.
So you can't control your dilution in the first pool, that is likely inevitable unless the incentive doesn't inspire anybody to join. But if you make the dilution happen faster (by inviting people and being their referrer) you get an ongoing share of the second pool, and if you do it faster than the average person you'll increase your share relative to everyone else over time.
What do you think?
I think we need to move away from the classic forum design, thats just my stubborn opinion.
thoughts?

Re: THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR LTBCOIN
@absolutebitcoin Hi Adam, I think LTBcoin is a great concept, it may become the Facebook of Social Media. Have you considered affiliate links so members can promote LTB via social media and earn LTBcoin?
We need to get a little more social first!?!
Any ideas you care to share?
