    You can now receive negative PoP points. If a moderator deletes/buries your forum post, you lose a full 4 points for every offense. (I added a note for this on the stats page: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/ltbcoin-stats ). This means that if we have to remove your posts (due to spam etc.) every day, you could actually end up with 0 or negative overall PoP and not receive any weekly LTBcoin.

    @cryptonaut, will this also apply to LTBc-bait comments?

    @cryptonaut, we are getting lots of spam blog post submissions. Can we get a delete submission with penalty option? Flagging @cherapple and @rotalumis.

    I'm glad about the switch to article percentage (percentages will be much more scalable than flat rewards). I agree with @cherapple that the proofreader should get a separate (and IMO sizable) percentage.

    One imbalance of the current system is that bad articles are a bigger editing investment but will retrieve a lower POV reward. Ultimately, this will be fixed by the editor marketplace. By then I think it will be crucial to develop a better separation with and codification of the proofreading role.

    @cryptonaut, if time permits could you make the current editor visible (either in the dashboard table or on the specific blog editing page)? This will help with organization/communication and will allow us to notice any unusual behavior (if an editor marks as editing but then returns to ready without doing anything).

    That's a very good step in the right direction. However, I always do a certain amount of work - often a lot - on a piece at the proofreading stage in order to get it to a point where I feel good about hitting "publish." I'm getting no compensation for the final stages of publishing.

    It's partly a matter of me communicating better with the other editors about how much work I'm doing after they turn their edited articles over for proofreading, partly a matter of training them to take care of the matters of Markdown formatting and editing style, and partly a matter of me being a perfectionist about editorial consistency.

  • Re: Editors' Communication Thread

    @pairmike, I'm the original editor assigned to your post (#482), and was wondering whether you are still interested in publishing the piece. @rotalumis (I believe) and I found your description on the history of ProtoShares worthwhile and complete. However, the descriptions of upcoming projects are incomplete. Insufficient details are provided as to what stage the products are in and how they operate. I am okay with you changing the projects to a bulleted list, so the layout doesn't give the impression that you are attempting to detail each project. Try to avoid speculative or vague project descriptions as well. I made some copyedits so please proceed with the article version in the content pane.

    @rotalumis The article is to be a companion piece for Daniel's interview with Adam. Based on the forum comments to that interview, this article provides value to those listeners who would like have a recap of ProtoShares. Thanks for the feedback.

    @rotalumis @Pairmike

    You've set your article to "Ready for Publishing" but it's rather short with the bottom part more or less in point form. You start off well, but seem to have left it half way through, when you have lots of scope to give the reader more value and info, particularly as regards the projects you listed.

    Apart from quality issues, it wouldn't be fair on the other writers or even on the readers to publish something like this. I've set it back to draft. Please make sure articles are complete and ready before marking them as such.

  • Re: Editors' Communication Thread

    @ItsAboutSharing, unfortunately, your submission (#489) does not meet the quality standards of the LTB network due to its vague, speculative, accusatory, and unclear nature. The post has been scheduled for deletion which will occur on July 31st, so make sure to copy your article if you would like to retain it.

  • Re: Editors' Communication Thread

    @crimsonroze, @rotalumis I added the article to trello and will edit it. I'm not sure whether this violates the protocol, so be prepared for the article to have to restart the process. I make no guarantees.

    @crimsonroze

    @rotalumis @mjroncone @btcbandit @dhimmel

    I have an article that might be time sensitive, could someone help me get the article listed on the trello board and take a look at it? (Article #480)

  • Re: [SUBMISSIONS EDITORS WANTED][5,000LTBc per column]

    Hey @adam, I edited the article, but I wasn't sure how extensive the edits should be. The original author should probably approve my edits, since some of the edits were extensive rephrasing.

    Please edit this piece - use the "Excerpt box" for your copy. Respond here once you're done and Denise and I will OK it and you'll be good to operate on the live site.

    I'm getting notifications about articles for review. Am I supposed to act on all of these notifications? Is there any more info or instructions on the process?

  • Re: [SUBMISSIONS EDITORS WANTED][5,000LTBc per column]

    Hey Adam, I'm interested. I can commit about 3 hours a week. Does this exceed the minimum threshold you're looking for?

  • Re: Official Bug Report Thread

    Great work with the whole LTB project --- you've definitely kept up with bitcoin time. I have a few thoughts on the iPhone application:

    • The current listening position is poorly preserved (often seems to reset to the beginning)
    • The native podcast application has a skip/rewind by 10 seconds navigation option. This is generally more useful for the home screen than skip entire episode.
    • I cache some episodes but without individually going back to old episodes am unsure of how to clear the cache. An option like max number of cached podcasts would be useful.
    • The episodes are out of order and new episodes are far back and sometimes don't show up at all.
    • There is a gear that brings up Select feeds of your interest. From this screen, the feeds cannot be dragged into the box above. Middle slot is a rotating pinwheel.

    That's about all I've noticed so far.
