  • Re: [PETAVOTE Result] New token bootstrapping discussion

    So I was thinking about how to figure out how many tokens to send out when BTC funding payment come in (i.e, how much the new token will cost per unit)...

    How about this idea:
    price is variable depending on how well the fund does every week. Price could be calculated with an estimated full ROI of 6 months
    1 SPECULATE = (last weekly dividend paid per unit) X (24 weeks]).

    If we started with the last full PETAMINE dividend paid, that would put the starting price at 0.00005424 per token, which is pretty close actually to the last price PETAMINE token funding was going for on sept 23rd, which was 0.000061 per token. This base price would only change once per week, so it would be less variable day by day than the petamine stuff.

    thoughts?

    @cryptonaut

    just need a name for the new token, then can make it, send it out to current PETAMINE holders and make the private forum, then we can have better threads for deciding what specific tokens or assets to buy (and start accepting more funds). Any name ideas?

    Lets call it what it is - SPECULATE

    I kind of like that actually lol

    Works for me too.

    I bought it. Anyone have any other suggestions or have objections?

    @sbatz72 I like the idea of splitting the funds between a few, or all of the counter wallet funds that pay dividends. I like the idea of diversifying the portfolio now. When will you be accepting funds for more tokens. I would also like to increase my tokens. Thanks

    @bitsol Can I be a mod for Crypto Links, I see some scams there

    yup sounds good!

  • Re: [PETAVOTE Result] New token bootstrapping discussion

    @maygor May we consider the option of a handful of altcoins?

    hmm im not too sure. Im more interested in things that bring in some sort of interest or dividends, rather than spending time speculating and trying to day trade altcoins. Could be a fast way to lose all of it :)

    I think that BitShares can pay some sort of interest though? could be interesting but not sure

  • Re: TCA source code

    @bitsol

    @cryptonaut The code is part of "Tokenly" which is the name of the system we are building here for LTB (the software that powers this site). Its open source and can be found here: https://github.com/cryptonaut420/tokenly

    important to note though that the system is not really at the point yet where someone who is not a programmer could easily setup and customize it. Token Controlled Access stuff also requires you to have a dedicated bitcoin node & counterparty server, which also requires some technical knowledge (linux command line interface).

    Well, I know html and JavaScript, and I have had some experience with Linux

    haha, thats a start. Its all built in PHP and using a MySQL database. Feel free to try getting it set up on your local computer or whatever web host you have set up. If you have any questions, you can message me.

    And yeah, the token stuff requires a Bitcoind server and a Counterpartyd server. Its not too difficult to setup if you are familiar with linux commands, but it has to download and scan the whole blockchain, so can take a couple days to get totally setup. For security and performance, you would want to run them on a different server than what the actual website is on. We use Linode, you can get a private linux server that would do the trick for like $20 a month here: https://www.linode.com/pricing

  • Re: Anyone know what's been going on with Counter Wallet?

    @mutatu

    @roadwarriors I am having problems getting in. All of a sudden my old pass phase generated a new account. I use roboform so it saves everything EXACTLY. WTF is going on???

    I am having similar problem. I use KeePass to save passwords so only have to cut and paste. Been trying to login to check my balance (which shows up correctly on LTB.) Counterwallet now directs me to .io not .co but when I paste in my pass phrase has generated a new account with new address.

    Please anyone are there any solutions to this?

    Regards

    You can recover old wallets that dont work anymore using this tool (requires some technical expertise): https://github.com/porqup1ne/CounterWalletHelper

    If anyone wants (and assuming you trust me :p ) I can obtain any private keys using your old passphrase, and then those private keys can be imported into a new wallet.

  • Re: income LTBcoin a week

    @shinta

    @real14hero My first salary thou ;)

    You have received a distribution of 6226.55537553 LTBCOIN to 13CSuiJoRHMTvzTDQpo6Q8im5xm4h16c7o - Proof of Participation Week 14 Sept 27th - Oct 3rd

    you only 29 post but you reveive 6K ltb coin, what you do it, or how much every post in here poin ltb coin

    there is no set amount of LTBcoin you get per post, its all variable and depending on what everyone else is doing.

    You can see the stats page here: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/ltbcoin-stats last week for example each user got about 35 LTBcoin for every participation point they earned (posting on forums gets you 4 points, but the points per post goes down if you post a ton in one day)
