    @alchemix Think of all those thousands and thousands of LTBc we all missed out on....lol

    Seriously tho, the site has been painfully slow loading for me the last week or so...

    yeah, im looking into it..

    LTBcoin is on its way to everyones wallets right now. You can see this weeks stats here: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/ltbcoin-stats?details=82 looks like things are starting to become a bit more balanced (highest earner only got like 6,000)... Definitely has been a slow week though (content and forums wise)

  • Re: SPECULATE.XCP - Weekly Payouts!

    @jayek

    @cryptonaut @jayek do you mean the dividend payments? In the case of SPECUALTE, token ownership and dividends comes from the same address that holds the unsold tokens (e.g 75,000), but it doesnt have to be - I could hold the unsold tokens somewhere else if I want. With dividends though, you can only send them out from the ownership address (the address that controls issuance, can lock the asset, change description etc.)

    For an example say I issue 100 tokens via dogeparty and want to pay out each token holder in XDP. If the address that's distributing the payout holds 50% of those tokens will a payout come back to the issuing addresses as well? Make sense?

    Right. Yes, sort of. With a "dividend" transaction in counterparty, it's not actually sending outputs to every address (if you look at the actual transaction on the blockchain, it just looks like coin dust being sent to 3 random addresses). Instead, it posts publicly on the blockchain "0.001 XCP per token in dividends has been paid to any address which holds X token as of block #332363". Since counterparty actually uses its own database, it just reads this happening on the blockchain and adjusts its internal balances accordingly

    Example:

    Total tokens: 10,000
    Issuance Address: 5,000
    Address 1: 2,500
    Address 2: 2,500

    Issuance address sends a dividend of 0.001 XCP per unit for a total of 10 XCP. It confirms, and Address #1 and #2 now have 2.5 XCP each and Issuance address now has 5 XCP. Balances were adjusted, yet nobody actually "received" any transactions (at least not how you would normally think of it). Does that make sense?

    The exception to this is paying dividends in the form of pure BTC (or I guess in the case of dogeparty, DOGE). In that case, it just uses the standard "sendmany" bitcoin command which sends however much total to each shareholder address (including a payment output to yourself). The major downside to BTC/Doge dividends is that it could result in high transaction fees (more shareholder addresses = larger transaction) and also it simply ignores any payments which would be under the transaction dust size limit (e.g, wont sent anything less than 0.000055 BTC)

  • Re: The website is not working

    Can you elaborate? The magic word probably has been rejected because its either spelt wrong or is too old

    @cryptonaut By inaccessible do you guys mean that you couldnt log in, or that the entire site wouldnt load at all? If the former, there was actually an issue I fixed yesterday with the server which was preventing the creation of any new user sessions, and thus preventing logins.

    We couldn't login on Friday and Saturday.

    Right. Yeah, makes sense. I was wondering why the # of users online was so low, and then I noticed it happening when I tried logging into a different computer. All should be good now!

  • LTBcoin delay

    Hey everyone. In case anyone is wondering, there is a slight delay right now on the LTBcoin distributions. Turns out @adam had a power outage all day yesterday, so was unable to do his end of the distribution process. This weeks LTBC will be all sent out sometime today

  • Re: Introducing XCoinCall - Place Calls using Bitcoins

    @xcoincall

    @cryptonaut Looks interesting, confused on one thing though...

    For a limited time, your first deposit gets tripled (up to the value of 0.3 BTC). We will be repeating this offer, so watch our site for any offers.

    Are you saying that if I deposit 0.1 BTC, you will triple that to a total of 0.3 BTC in my account, and then I can just withdraw that if I want? Or are you saying that if I deposit 0.1 BTC, you would give me 0.3 BTC worth of phone/calling credit or something?

    Hi there! Thank you for pointing that out.The 0,3 BTC represents calling credit. It's part of our thanks to the pioneers we're looking for to try out our service. Unfortunately, we cannot offer that amount up for withdrawal. What we can offer is a service that listens to the community's needs and replies with swift action.

    That is a relief actually, because it would be pretty shady if you were taking in deposits and promising to "triple your money" or something like that (I have seen scams like that before). Clearly that's not the case though. Looks good man! I will have to try it out.
