  • Re: [Feature Request] Ability to hide user comments unless they meet a certain account requirement

    @coinadd1ct You brought up the off topic forum, and that gave me an idea. If we are going to have a off topic forum, how about not earning LTBc for posts in that area? These posts have nothing to do with crypto, and add little to the forums.

    good point. Off topic section was requested by a couple users, but yeah it should probably be excluded from PoP rewards.

    @Omnibus

    I agree with your sentiments. For what its worth, the forums will be receiving some major overhauls very soon. The main priority right now is getting the blog article submission & editing process revamped (so we can start pumping out valuable front page content), and then after that will be ready for forum upgrades. Hang tight! (or check back in like a month or so if its really that bad for you :) )

    Something like the idea you mentioned is going to be implemented actually. It will be mostly upvote/downvote based, with each users amount of LTBcoin relative to eachother effecting the weighting of votes. So for example somebody that has been around for a while and has like 100,000 LTBc could more easily downvote users with 0 or only a couple thousand LTBc. If somebody makes a new account and posts a bunch of crap.. only a couple high ranking users would need to downvote their posts in order to bury it (which would have it collapse instead of delete, reddit style). On the flip side, a lot more downvotes are required to bury the post of someone with equal or greater LTBcoin than you. I am still working on the specifics for this.

    Another idea I think could be good... maybe have it so beside the "Submit" button for posting new threads or replies, it lets you know how much Proof of Participation points you will get for your post. This way users can immediately see that making their 20th post that day is only going to give them something like 0.001 points due to diminishing daily returns and not really worth it (if the points / ltbcoin is all they are after). Might make users think twice about posting so much junk.

    thoughts?

  • Re: Updated LTBcoin stats page

    @ltb4me I'm looking at the disbursement breakdown now. For weeks 14-16, what does it mean when the 'proof of value' column shows as HELD?

    Do content created experience a delay in getting their LTBc reward due to a review process of the content they made?

    Content creators get two rewards, "Proof of Quality" and "Proof of Value". Quality is given to everyone for posts they get published that same week. The Value reward comes 4 weeks later, where we count up how many page views and comments etc. the post received. The column that shows as "HELD" means that the coin has been issued, but it wont be distributed for 4 weeks after.

  • Re: Updated LTBcoin stats page

    @decentralized

    @d415a Great job. Just curious, and what happen when 510M (max supply) LTBc has been issued?

    The distribution will end, no more payments.

    not neccesarily. No new LTBcoin will be created, but payments would still be made using the LTBcoin the site earns from various features, e.g token societies or the auctions.

  • Updated LTBcoin stats page

    Hey guys

    Just finished some upgrades to the LTBcoin stats page, check it out: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/ltbcoin-stats about only thing missing now I think is the leaderboards, which I might get done this week also.

    Now shows prices for the DEX, poloniex and melotic, as well as 24h volume for poloniex and melotic.

    Major change is you can now see details on every weekly distribution, including individual user stats! In the list of weekly distributions, just click "Details" on any of them and it will bring you to a whole bunch of stats for that week, and a list of all users involved and what their stats were. The details are slightly different between Proof of Participation, Proof of Publication / Quality and Proof of Value. With Proof of Value, it actually breaks the data down by individual front page post instead of by user.

    If your account is set to private (uncheck "public profile" field in settings), your name will only show as "anonymous" on these participation stats. If you are logged in and looking at the stats, you can still see yourself though

    check it out

  • Re: Auction transaction not confirming

    @markxmayer I'm just guessing, but it looks like the BTC transaction that precedes this is also still unconfirmed - and was sent with 0 fees - so it might stay unconfirmed for a while. Once this transaction confirms, I'd think the rest will confirm in succession.

    https://blockchain.info/tx/6bd361ef6c783f2892115f5b630955ec15cb9e56074503c73c97bcff0611e6bf

    yep, that looks like its most likely the issue. The transaction to the auction is using that 0.002 BTC input from the previous transaction, which is still unconfirmed, so its just a matter of waiting for that first one, which is taking a long time for some reason.

  • Re: buying 10k LTBC for 3 XCP on DEX

    @william How decentralized is the DEX, actually? It still has centralized servers, right? Or am I mistaken?

    Not really. DEX orders are just a transaction type in counterparty, so each client just submits an order to the blockchain, and everyone else reads that data from the blockchain.

  • Re: buying 10k LTBC for 3 XCP on DEX

    @rob I wonder if Counterparty is insulated from having to do this, with the decentralized exchange accessed by Counterwallet?

    I would think so. Which is great because even though its a bit slow/clunky to use still, we will always have that as a backup trading mechanism, even if 100% of the exchanges start doing all that pesky AML stuff

  • Re: SPECULATE.XCP - Weekly Payouts!

    @hotarugrey is there any chance that we could use LTBcoin for this investment? i thought it may be good if there is an investment program that using LTBcoin for fund.

    I havnt really decided wether to take LTBcoin or not. Not too sure if its a good idea.. SPECULATE tokens would be bought up, but there isnt really much that ltbc can do to help improve income, so it would likely need to be dumped for BTC. If everyone starts moving all their LTBcoin to SPECULATE, might not be so good for the LTBc price lol.

  • Re: SPECULATE.XCP - Weekly Payouts!

    @bitmaster Just wondering how much is this coin paying off?

    What do you mean? This just started.. all the details are in the thread.
