    @soccruo

    @katherine22 What does viewing an article mean? just landing on the page, or writing an intelligent comment to the article too?

    I have this question to ask too, can someone answer please?

    when you land on a blog article/forum post/content page that you havnt been to before, that counts as 1 point.

  • Re: Just to clarify...

    10 million LTBcoin out of the initial distribution was set aside for forum members who contributed at least 5 posts since the original forums started back in march. Because not everyone had their LTBcoin compatible address in the system right away, we split this into payouts of 2.5 million LTBcoin per week (4 weeks total). This past saturday was the last week for those payouts.

    The one this saturday will be PoP rewards only, no 6,000 LTBcoin bonus distribution. So how well yours is compared to what it was last week basically depends on how much you have contributed overall this week.

  • Re: Live "Weekly Distributions" stats for each user?

    Yes,there will be leaderboards on the main stats page, and you will also be able to view your personal stats from your dashboard.

    @matt

    @cap2002 Just testing out this stuff .. LTBcoin. Interesting. I want me some. :-)

    Make sure you get in 5 non-spammy posts each week to get your fill in! ;)

    what if i made 10 non spammy post? are more than 5 posts counted per week?

    the 5 post deal is over now actually. Now it is just "Proof of Participation" rewards. The more you post, the more posts and articles you view and the more you comment on articles the more LTBcoin you get every week. Receiving "likes" on your posts also gets you more points, so theres an extra incentive there to not just post junk :p

  • Re: LTB / Tokenly Platform Updates

    Some more updates from the past few days:

    • Markdown editor support (via http://inkpad.io) added for blog post writing, as well as content pages in the CMS. We can now choose between this markdown editor (which features stuff like auto saving) and the normal WYSIWYG editor. Hopefully this will mean less wrestling with funky formatting in the editor from copy/pasting from word etc..
    • Live post previews on the forums! In case you havnt noticed already, when replying to a post or making a topic, now gives you a live preview of your markdown formatting as you are typing. pretty handy
    • The documentation for the LTB Web API is now available! See here: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/ltb-web-api
    • Multi-language encoding support has now been added. Chinese characters, russian characters etc. will now show up properly when you post them instead of just showing up like "???". Note that we were unable to convert previously made posts that were not displaying right.
  • Re: Russian Board

    testing multi-language support:

    ам и спеакинг руссиан?

    丁香丁香

    edit it worked! Русский текст в настоящее время работает

  • LTB Web API

    Hey everyone

    Finally getting around to releasing some documentation for the Lets Talk Bitcoin platform web API. Currently it provides some basic account functionality, blog information and some other misc info. More endpoints will be built into it as we go along.

    API Documentation: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uR6blRenaiIHBriaSOERuOVfx3oaI-v6xg799UQhSXg

    Planning on re-organizing the documentation and putting it up on github or something instead of google docs. stay tuned for that.

    Questions, bug reports, suggestions etc.. post em' here

  • Re: Query by LTBc address

    not at the moment, but I could add this in

  • Re: Post Preview

    @rob @cryptonaut, I continue to be unable to create line breaks that stick through to a post. Is there some way to have line breaks, but not have a vertical space between the lines? With just a single return, separate lines merge into one line. I find this often prevents me from formatting a post the way I want -- either everything runs together, or it's way spaced out.

    just figured it out. apparantly if you end a line with 2 spaces and then go to a newline, it will go down one line instead of making a new paragraph.
