'Real Big Data: How to Leverage Bitcoin Blockchains for Unlimited Storage,' by Shankar Narayanan
November 22nd, 2015 by
Shankar Narayanan SGS Bitcoin has evolved so much as a currency, considering its volatile nature. Amazon, Target, Namecheap, and Dell accept Bitcoins as payment. Bitcoin is evolving beyond its value as an e-currency and its ability for instant transfer. The Bitcoin Biographies: Rob Mitchell of the Bitcoin Game
November 13th, 2015 by
Cheryl Hulseapple When Rob Mitchell mentioned that he had recorded an introduction about himself for his podcast The Bitcoin Game several times, but he hadn’t yet created one he wanted to use, I jumped at the chance to interview him.
Mitchell started his podcast a little more than a year ago. He has since published 29 biweekly episodes, including memorable ones such as interviews with Johoe, the white hat hacker, Jake Benson of LibraTax — which I remember because I didn’t want to listen, but when I did, it was very helpful — and two of his latest with John Barrett of Bitcoins and Gravy, and writer Brian Cohen. He also created the Bitcoin keychains that appear in images all over the Internet.
I asked him to tell me more about everything he's been doing "in Bitcoinland."

Mike Ward on 'Internet in Chains'
November 10th, 2015 by
mike ward Seems like quite a bit of controversy was stirred up by the recent Economist article, "The great chain of being sure about things," which they say "has implications far beyond the cryptocurrency." Their point seems to be spot-on in my view.

Articles of Bitcoin Constitution: A Genesis Block of Governance
August 24th, 2015 by
djc [This article first appeared on August 23 on the blog The Wall Street Technologist.]
One of the ongoing issues with Bitcoin, besides the scalability issues, is the fact that it lacks a clear governance model. The fact that we don’t have one is likely an artifact of Satoshi not really knowing how far Bitcoin would go. Indeed, it was designed to be an (almost) foolproof solution to the problem of consensus without governance.

Kyle Torpey Shapeshift.io CEO Erik Voorhees participated in a fireside chat with Decentralized Applications Fund Managing Director David Johnston at the Texas Bitcoin Conference in late March. During this conversation, Voorhees revealed his overall goal for Bitcoin’s eventual level of success. Some say that Bitcoin only needs to keep existing on a daily basis for it to succeed over the long term, but Voorhees has larger ambitions for the digital money.

The Power of Nothing

Andy Tudhope This is a post about bitcoin and the zero, the omphalos, the womb that contains us all, that begins us all and welcomes us back when we have lived through whatever heaven or hell we make of this one life we are given.

July 20th, 2015 by
Rock Siles Barcellos Hello there! My name is Rock Barcellos. (It's my name, for real.) I'm an illustrator from Brazil and I have been participating here at Let's Talk Bitcoin! for a while, offering my services as an illustrator off and on.
This post came from an idea I had, and I wanted to give it a shot and share it with everyone. Basically, in this piece, I wanted to think about the role and importance of the peer-to-peer concept throughout history, putt...
