This is a 1:1 counterwallet clone running on viacoin, with 20 sec transaction times.

I have to admit today was the first time i heard of viacoin and did not find much info on their website, i.e. how it works, how safe etc.

i am playing with it right now. i was able to instantly transfer via into the wallet and pretty much burn them instantly also.

that does feel pretty amazing.

however i would like to hear some thoughts from the community about this copy cat.

Here is what jumps in my eye:

PRO:

  • practically instant transactions, removes almost all issues with CP
  • even dex via > XCH transfer happens in less than 1min vs 1h on counterparty
  • the fact that clearinghouse and the coin development team work together seems a huge structural advantage

Cons

  • this just feels like stealing from the CP team
