There was a coin called EduCoin. It never really took off, but it had a nice idea in the form of an 'Educational Seed Fund' where teachers could request EduCoin for use in their classroom. They had a few teachers using it.
Now PiggyCoin has taken up the mantle of the Educational Seed Fund!
(You might consider it to be a kind of faucet for teachers ;8] However, the PIGGY you get is not for personal use, but for use in an educational context.)
