Oke to say the n-word if you are a rapper

I have always wondered this: People freak out if you say the n-word, obviously. But I hear rappers do it all the time in their songs, and most of them are black. So if I am a rapper, I can say whatever I want. Following that thought train, it would be perfectly ok to sing songs about killing jews and raping kids... as long as you do it rapping.

pretty much only in the media, which likes to make a big deal about everything. In real life it's mostly about context really, probably depends where you are though. People are really sensitive in some places lol especially down in the States (from what I hear anyway). Saying "you damn niggers!" is different than saying "whatsup nigga?" to one of your buddies jokingly, which is pretty frequent, at least where I am from lol.

This is a touchy subject so I have to tread carefully.

It's all about context. Whenever I hear rappers reiterate these words, I just imagine them instead saying 'Bro' and it usually just works out fine.

I can't imagine that if you are to talk about the things you are talking about.

It changes with time. 25 years ago was even used on Oprah. And at same time they censored words that we freely hear today on TV, like "Goddamn" Society standards change with time. And also will with time.
