LTB Privacy Issue?

I think there is a privacy issue when your profile will pull all the information from your counterparty wallet on the address you enter since there is no SSL.I don't want to make tons of addresses because they all need to be funded separately with bitcoin and can't be removed

Can this be limited to just LTBCOIN?

I assume that you could simple uncheck the tickbox saying you want to share your profile, then others won't see it. SSL or no SSL doesn't really matter in that regard.

Or were you afraid of a third party like your ISP sniffing on your network traffic?

Doesn't have to be just my ISP. Any unencrypted network I may connect to is able to logging that information.

Googleing your public address or looking it up on the blockchain would provide the same details. If you want privacy: 1. Dont post your address, 2. Change the address often, or 3. Keep an address just for LTBc that you don't care who sees.

Eventually the site will allow you to hide your address, but still, use an address with just LTBc if you want more privacy on other balances.

SSL wouldn't help since it's public info already.

SSL helps when you are connecting over an untrusted network. It prevents anyone in that network from connecting the public information to a real world identity.

Both SSL and a concept we call "Pockets" should handle this. We are aware of the concern.

The only counterparty information you are giving us is just your address. Balances on any bitcoin address are public information, which is how we are able to show all of your token balances on said address. We could opt to only show you your LTBcoin balance.. but again its all public anyway.

That being said we are setting up SSL and also pretty quick here you will be able to add in multiple addresses to your account and choose if you want to make them public (show on your profile etc.) or not.

Excited to see SSL roll out soon. I've been more and more about SSL recently as it is a good first step in protecting communications online.

I know that nothing will ever truly be 100% protected but love seeing more and more places at least implement SSL.
