Is there such a thing as a MULTICOIN wallet?

Said another way, is there one wallet that can handle many different altcoins? Is that even technologically possible?

I mine a little, mostly for fun, and over the last 9 months or so, I have amassed a fair number of different altcoins. Certainly some I trade for BTC, but there are still many that I am interested in holding onto and it's kind of a hassle to open up each individual QT-wallet just to check balances and perform transactions. I still consider myself a novice so any input is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I believe these guys are working on one: https://www.hivewallet.com/ looks like they just support BTC and LTC at the moment, but I think doge is coming and also counterparty tokens

If you are looking for a universal multi-currency wallet you should try HolyTransaction. Now it supports 6 cryptocurrencies, plus it comes with currency exchange features so you can easily convert one cryptocurrency to another. You can also send Litecoin to a Bitcoin address, or vice versa with any other supported digital currency.

    Thanks darbon. Another good one.

I noticed both of these offerings are smartphone based. I wonder if there are any pc or mac based wallets.
