I was wondering if the LTB community would be interested in a for sale section here on the forums. It would be a great way to promote and utilize our love of crypto.
I'm a member of a pool and billiard website www.azbilliards.com ...where they have a Wanted/For Sale section of the forum where other users post used and new pool/billiards related items for sale. They have a reputation based system integrated into the users profile that lets other users know if they are someone to be trusted or not. There are also other trusted members that would provide escrow services if needed.
Person A posts a pool cue up for sale at X amount of USD and person B contacts them with an offer. Person A either accepts, rejects, or counters the offer. Once a deal has been struck shipping information is provided and the details of the deal are finalized. Once money has been received and the item has been received you do your due diligence and give the other use positive rep for a good deal. Its very simple and works very well. It is all P2P azbilliards does not get a "cut" of anything other than a record of the deal taking place.
Are their bad deals?...of course and the way the community handles this is very public. Users post the details of the bad deal in the Main Forum and sometimes stolen goods are even recovered through a fairly vast network of pool loving members. This is why reputation and escrow are so important. If you are involved in a deal gone bad you simply leave the other user negative rep. Volunteer admins are in place to police the false neg rep or boot the the problem user and block their IP...of course there are very simple ways around this but for the pool community an IP block is like a steel cage lol.
Just tossing the idea out there. This would be so much easier with bitcoin rather than PayPal which is the most common medium of exchange...
