I bought a small amount. I find it a little disconcerting that they have raised so much money but will not have a product out for 6 months.

Well, the disconcerting thing is that the interests of the investor and the interests of the ethereum organization aren't aligned. Ethereum investors need a valuable contracts system that makes for a valuable token. EthSuisse (the company receiving the funds) on the other hand benefits most when BTC goes up by 10X or more. They could take in $50M and turn it into $500M over a few years time, regardless of whether or not Ethereum as a product succeeds.
I really like a number of the ethereum people, Vitalik in particular. However, it's tough to be optimistic when there's such a huge gap between the investors and the developers.
I've invested a small amount myself, probably mostly based on FOMO - it's hard to believe that ETH will ever be worth more than the BTC I put in though.

I also bought a small amount just cause I do not know what to think. Exited and uncertain at the same time.

They do have a couple client software out already though. Remember even Bitcoin core is in beta still with ongoing development

I was initially quite bullish towards ethereum but with the amount of time it's taking i'm not quite sure if it warrants more than a small speculative investment at this point.

What about æthereum? Is that still happening and if it is will I get some from having xcp?
