I have been thinking for a while about how awesome ltbcoin is for this network of podcasts. I merged that thought with the question of "how do we get more people interested in using crypto currency?" Then i thought what if all podcasts had a universal crypto rewards program. I would like to start a coin or token that could be given away for all podcasts who want to participate. What are your thoughts? Would it be better to start a decentralized POS blockchain where all podcasts could be stored? Or, make a token on counterparty and not worry about storing the podcasts? Also we'd have to make some sort of rules as to what the criteria of distribution would be. To stop people from making a hundred 1 min podcasts a day each featuring a magic word. It would be up to the podcast wether or not to reward content creation on their site. This could be the tool to bring podcasts and crypto to the mainstream. Thoughts?

This is basically what we've done here :)

The way I look at it is we're growing a forest, not the worlds tallest tree. Let's Talk Bitcoin is one tree, maybe the first tree in this particular forest and the way things develop is the one tree grows to maturity and then seeds the area around it.

Feel free to copy, improve and iterate on what we've done but don't waste time replicating :)

I would say it's a smarter idea to use counterparty or at least something bitcoin based rather then setting up some sort of POS alt-coin. It is much easier for people that are already into bitcoin to start up with your project, and frankly anyone new to cryptocurrency probably isn't going to skip bitcoin and go straight into messing around with various alts. Plus, if you create your own alt-coin, then it becomes more about developing the software for the coin, wallets etc.. and less about what you are trying to actually accomplish with the project.
