I was playing around with the idea of writing a column for a local magazine and perhaps the local paper that would discuss the various functions of money (MOE, UOA) with the intent to introduce alternative currencies and with an immediate focus on Bitcoin as the feature currency.  Bitcoin would probably get the most attention, but other cryptocurrencies and community currencies would eventually get featured.
This article would essentially have an educational bent as the target audience would probably know zero to very little about the currency space.
The column in the magazine would generate no income on its own. The column in the paper might earn some kind of fee from the local paper.  But they would have to be convinced.  I have not contacted either media yet.  Any thoughts or suggestions?
I live in Rutherford, NJ, essentially a bedroom community and suburb of NYC.
