Coins With A Purpose!

What a great concept: instead of a pointless coin clone, a coin for a purpose.  I believe that this can radically revolutionize the World.  I was hearing the other day about colored coins, and it reminded me about when I was a teenager and, thinking about the problem of money, thought, "hey, why not Rainbow Money?". Rainbow Money, in my adolescent mind, would be colored paper money that was spent for things related to it's color.  Not being very matured as a theorist or as a business/economics person by any means, and having no clue about computer code, my idea didn't develop much beyond that.

One intention I had with this thought was having the people decide where their finances went.  If you are into War and killing "brown people" and exploiting the masses, then maybe you would buy and spend with Red Dollars, I thought; and if you were into saving the environment and growing pot, then maybe you would choose Green, or if you were all about LGBTQ issues, Pink Cash?  Yeah, I was a stoned teenager and that is as far as my thought went.
Well, now it looks like grown-up smart people are figuring out how to give our money any purpose we choose, and it looks to me like LTB is the first of this kind.  I am excited!
I am still not the smartest guy in the room on the subject of economy, finances, cryptography, programming or any of that.  I'm probably one of the least knowledgeable of this bunch, in fact--but I am soaking it all up and going bonkers over the possibilities.  What do you think of money with a purpose?  How do you see it working?  How do you see it changing the World?  What are some key concepts I, or anyone might need to understand Money-With-A-Purpose?

Oh! and what purposes would you (or ARE you) put(ing) your colored-coin or purpose-oriented money to?  Are there already any projects like this going on in a think-tank or real life?

In the UK we have fairly awful voting percentages. I have always wondered why we couldn't figure out a way of making it easy to vote from home - but everyone always cites the ease of fraud, double voting etc etc.

Wouldn't it be amazing if a meta coin could be created for "election 2016"? Everyone gets a coin the is tied to, for instance, there social security number. You then have one coin and only one vote. I'm sure that would make a world of difference for those who didn't want to travel to the poll stations!

I very much agree, which is why I see coins with purpose so potentially revolutionary.  As I understand it, a block chain could make many/most types of fraud very hard, if not almost or actually impossible to commit.  I mean, with this kind of tech, a truly democratic and almost anarchic society could bloom!
However, although the following view is unpopular and controversial, I do not think Democracy or Anarchy are the best possible systems.  Honestly, I do not see a political paradigm out there that I am 100% with--though virtually non-existent, some kind of Anarcho-Capitalistic Libertarian Monarchy, with just a touch of social services comes close!  My political view is a synthesis of most genres of politics, and includes Aristocracy.  If the Masses rule, then only the most mediocre ideas and persons have power, which beats a Totalitarianism as well as other tyrannies, but is still rather oppressive to the libertine super-creative geniuses of the world (who have a lot to offer if unrestricted from doing so!).  If their was a standard by which to determine "nobility", especially in light of the moral-relativism that proliferates among fellow intellectuals, then certain persons may be granted the ability, through a sort meritocracy, to earn more coins for their vote....say if a leader acquires merit or "nobility" tokens from the people whom they serve, through some sort of Proof of Creativity and Prooff of Social Service--it could become an incentive for people to serve their community and contribute their creativity to the Whole.

However, I not completely sold on my own ideas above.  The democratic value of vote-coins could possibly help it to become accepted or rejected.  What is better is that votecoins in an open-source environment could allow ideas, such as the ones I just speculated about, to die-off if unuseful, or grow and evolve. A Cyber-Society could adapt a more (evolutionary) biology-based model with the help of computer tech, where ideas emerge, change, grow and become effective in realtime.

The most exciting part of blockchain tech is all the purposes beyond money that it will be used for. I'm working out a way to use it for self regulating employees in a small business. Voting will be one of the most powerful ways to use the blockchain. Politicians will hate it. But why not use it on a smaller scale too? Like shareholders in a company or students in a class. That is exciting.  Things like ethereum are already initiating several applications beyond money, from what I have learned.  "Smart Property" is also
