In LTB podcast E146 "Stephanie speaks with Aaron of the BitFilm Distributed Film Festival about bitcoin, Germany and why they're experimenting with tokens for everything from festival voting and event passes to the right to put on your own local event."

The link in the podcast description is broken. I wanted to check out the coin and had a bit of a hard time finding it. So I thought I would share the link here:

Giving you the ability to find it easy, and perhaps a place to discuss the coin. I am considering buying one, though I live in the US and don't think I will be able to attend a film festival. Are you planning on buying one?

Maybe you could proxy your festival token/ticket? Auction off just the festival and keep other attributes of the token for yourself. That would be ideal.

If it were local, I'd buy one without hesitation (within reason pricewise). I didn't get enough detail (maybe should have paid more attention to the podcast) on what exactly would be offered for different levels of purchase.

I think they should do something like this for every bitcoin convention. It would be cool to have the option of attending a convention for free or paying for a token that gets you perks.

This is explained in the interview in LTB podcast E146. My understanding is that it is more like a token than a coin.

Good idea! I am more than likely too lazy to actually follow though, but still :P

I could see this happening in the future. LTBc is paving the way.
