I checked out the Foundation when I first got interested in Bitcoin. It didn't impress me much, and obviously things haven't been looking so hot in recent history but the debate has sparked my interest.

Any members here? I'm going to be following upcoming developments with interest. Voting is limited to members registered before February 6th so I guess I'm not in a rush, but definitely curious.

In terms of promotional capabilities and existing as a resource for newcomers I think there is massive potential in having a Bitcoin Foundation. I think for Bitcoin to reach significant public adoption there needs to be something like it, because the world being able to deal with what Cody Wilson suggests seems pretty impossible. I definitely valued his opinion but by the end he was getting on my nerves a bit - lot of great radical ideas, but very unrealistic when considering current status.

Thanks again for hosting a great debate Adam! Would be very interested in seeing more of the same. Maybe a hosted discussion with the existing members?

We actually recorded a further hour and a half with six of the candidates, but since the debate ran over time and started late I left the candidates to manage themselves, it wound up being very repetitious of the debate content.

I've really enjoyed the debates we've done and would like to do more

    I'm not a member (yet).

I'm considering it, but I want to read as much information as possible to know if it's "a little bit" centralized (as some people say) or not.

LET'S TALK BITCOIN Episode 186 was an interview with their candidates. Take a look to it, too.

I became a member because I think the foundation can help. They sent me some print material for a convention in western Canada. It was a great networking source that helped connect me to other people in the space. Not sure why they face so much resistance. It's an opt in foundation so just don't join if you disagree. It's better to focus on building good things than tearing things down. Don't like it, then build something better.
