Thanks Cryptonaut. Yes - this is the interesting thing about releasing films nowadays. There is the dilemma of just to post it and see how the world responds - or do deals - and try and secure some kind of "better" financial returns. I know this problem first hand from some of my projects. I'm beginning to favour the model of a) create a website - which has both free public info and resources with b) a premium subscription side with deeper level of resources and more videos etc. Kinda like pay per view but more extensive in what is given for the $.
I do feel a model like that could work for a topic like cryptocurrency... especially if geared to the growing tidal wave of newbies... myself included. AND its a great way to learn and go down the most "approved" path, if there is such a thing.
I hadn't heard of that one - Rise and Rise of Bitcoin - I found it easily... Visit these links for more info.

Possibly anyone thinking of embarking on a big documentary project could collaborate with a number of filmmaker folk like they did for the Occupy Wall St one. Rise and Rise of Bitcoin looks like it is the classic small crew scrambling to get it made... albeit with crowdfunding support.
Anyway, I'm keen to hear of any other projects too... please include refs and URLS :-)
