A multisignature wallet is the best way to keep your Bitcoins safe, but is it really?
In this example I'll use Bitgo, because I love what they did and maybe will do in the future with their wallet. When you go to Bitgo.com, it's pretty straightforward how to put up an multisig wallet. When you finish creating the wallet you receive an email with your account keycard. Let's say that some one got a keylogger or can make
screenshots of your computer, this means they know your details and can steal
your money.
Hmmmm the Bitcoin wallet client, also got the same weakness that Bitgo has. Theweakness is the multisignature type. It's basically letters and numbers, that's a weakness in my opinion. It really doesn't matter that somebody got to have 2 out of 3 signatures, because the 1 signature type makes, your multisig weak.
How to make a MultiSickNature wallet STRONG?Let's say that I want to make a multisig wallet and I have different signature types, this means that my wallet is stronger. For instance if I have an SMS, Trezor & Nymisignature, this wallet would be real difficult to hack PERIOD. True an SMS signature can be spoofed, but the other 2 signatures on your multisig wallet makes it difficultif not impossible to crack.
I realize that my solution seems a little extreme, but if we don't use hardware signatures in thescheme, we shouldn't be surprise that people their coins can still be stolen. An email with mydetails or a Bitcoin client on a computer connected to the internet is not gonna keep my multisig wallet safe. I will sign up in a heart beat with a wallet that offers multiplesignature types. When your heart beat and hardware becomes a signature, it's pretty hardfor somebody take your Cool Crypto Cash. In the future I see a multisig wallet, that ask you to choose from a wide range of signatures, so you can keep your Cryptocash safe.Think: Biometric
